In today's video, I will give American Express a call to request a credit limit increase on my Amex Blue Business Plus credit card. I've held the card for the past 90 days, so it is time to test out whether or not I will be able to 3x my credit limit like the majority of the credit card community states. I can't help but think "what if Amex has me in some sort of credit limit bucket, just like what's common with Capital One?" Do you think I will get a credit limit increase on my business credit card? Did Amex give me the cold shoulder and tell me to wait another 90 days or, did they give me a credit limit increase so that I don’t have such a “beginner” credit limit any longer?

I appreciate your honesty but carrying a balance is always bad. Always. You got a credit limit increase at the cost of, at minimum, hundreds in interest from carrying that balance.

The best way to get a credit limit increase or get approved for cards is 1) never carry a balance, 2) always pay IN FULL on time. If you think you can't pay on time that month then don't spend on your cards.

Now I have other cars with Amex. Platinum. Gold Green. Business with much Higher limits then $1K
Spoke with Amex they said wait few months call back I. Request again maybe little lower limited . So don’t feel bad you could’ve got low ball limit like my sir

Thank you for the video and congrats on your limit increase. Do not feel bad about your initial low limit. My first credit card had a limit of $250. Of course, that was 35 years ago. My point is that you're young. Imagine what your limit will be when you reach my age

I got American Express, and they keep raising my credit limit and I'm not sure why because I don't want the high limit! I got a 23k limit.

When I requested a CLI with Chase, the rep said he saw that I used and paid off the card several times during the months and that's a sign that a person needs a higher limit.

I just applied for the BBP and I was astonished by the credit limit that they gave me. I’m fairly new to the credit card game (1 year in) and this was my first business CC & they gave me a 30k limit. My income is very average, so idk why their algorithm thought it would be a good idea to give me that🤣 GREAT video by the way! I was only approved for $5K CL for my Amex BB Plus but wasn’t surprised based on what I stated on the application. But since having doubled my Amex BCP from $15K to $30K, I can always move credit from BCP to BBP.

Congrats on the CLI CJ! Very cool editing in this video! Tbh, I probably would have asked for more, since your limit was pretty low to start, but I guess the safe thing to do was ask for the 3x to maximize your chances of getting it!
