Cozy Slow Day At Home In English Countryside | Books | Natural Hair Care | Cottagecore Silent Vlog

Spend a cozy day at home in English countryside with me.
I had a cold over the past week and spend almost an entire week not leaving my house at all. Let me show you some of my favourite things to do at home that fill my soul with cozy feelings and contentment.
I made an herbal tea, sorted through my books and did a natural oil mask for my fine and dry hair which I’m trying to grow.

This video is silent as I’m currently away and wasn’t able to record the voice over. Hope you enjoy the calming atmosphere.

Hair mask ingredients:

Coconut oil (or olive, or almond) - 2 tbsp
Castor oil - 1 tbsp
Argan oil - 1 tbsp
Neem oil - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek oil or black cumin seed oil - 1 tsp
Rosemary essential oil - 7 drops
Lavender essential oil - 3 drops
Amla powder (optional) - 1 tsp

Coconut oil acts as a carrier, and you can substitute it for a different carrier oil like olive or almond.
Neem oil is absolutely amazing for dandruff or itchy scalp as it's soothing and anti-fungal. It's great for growth and makes hair silky and shiny. Neem oil is very smelly, so I suggest you add just a little bit of it for this amount and then use lavender oil to mask the smell.
Fenugreek oil and black cumin seed oil are great for growth too, and I tend to use one or another, not together as they're also very smelly.
To mask the smell you can also use 3 drops of orange or mandarin essential oil.

Combine all oils in a jar and add amla powder last. Mix well and apply onto dry brushed hair and scalp. Massage well with your fingers or a silicone head massage brush.

Hi friends, apologies for no video last week! I've been ill & now I'm away for the week, so this time it's a silent vlog from home instead of my usual content. I hope you enjoy! :)
How are you? Is it spring already where you are? I'm currently spending a week away in deep winter. Hoping to see spring as soon as I land back in the UK!

Honestly, your hair doesn't look thin or dry! It appears to be medium-thickness & pretty healthy. Oiling hair is great no matter what thickness or health your hair is in. I'm also on a mission to grow very long healthy hair and am using all of the same practices you are and getting improvements for sure. I am also taking collagen.

My mother has her cosmetology license and has always recommended regular trims and a yearly haircut to prevent split ends to continue rising and splitting further. Rosemary and castor oil are great for hair growth. I also use a hair washing brush to stimulate the scalp and I have long hair - past my breast/mid back. I’m a mum to a 12 month old and 6 months pregnant so I’m dealing with re-growth due to postpartum hair loss and the washing brush has made my hair grow so fast. I do not have good hair genetics as both of my parents have thin hair and my mother stopped being able to grow her hair past her shoulders due to damaging her scalp with perming chemicals. The upside and downside of cosmetology school haha

My two best haircare tips are to get an all natural shampoo and conditioner, I use the shea moisture brand and find it superior to every luxury and high-end salon brand, and they have a huge variety of formulas and it is an ethical, sustainable company. Second is to get a silk pillowcase, I have a mulberry silk from Amazon - the only thing is to make sure it is not 'fake' silk as there are many scammers on there now, but in stores like Lilysilk you can buy with confidence, it is a splurge but very worth it, also for the skin! Lovely video as always :)

I absolutely LOVE your channel! I wanted to share that I am not sure how the weather was like when you were sick, but if it was warm and sunny, it would have been very good for your immune system and you could have gotten better more quickly. Sunshine and fresh air is wonderful for health. However, if it was cold or wet, I can certainly understand you wanting to stay inside instead. 💜💜💜🌷🌷🌷🦋🦋🦋
