Webinar:
Tools and methods for CRISPR-Cas9 screening for functional genomics and drug discovery
Webinar Abstract:
Loss-of-function studies are an established method for uncovering a gene’s role in a biological pathway or disease state. The advent of CRISPR-Cas9 for gene knockout has given researchers a powerful tool for single-gene studies as well as high-throughput screening applications. Some experimental systems and assays demand solutions that enable long-term phenotypic readout, delivery into difficult-to-transfect cells, and the ability to easily move from pooled to arrayed screening reagents. The Invitrogen™ lentiviral guide RNA portfolio offers a toolset to achieve these goals. We will additionally present a recent case study of how a screen with LentiArray™ gRNA reagents has led to a potential human cancer therapeutic.
