Hubby solved our light switch problem with an Amazon Echo and smart light switches. He has it set up to turn the lights off, turn the fan on, and start playing thunderstorm sounds whenever we say, "Alexa, good night."
"Alexa, good morning" turns off the sounds, turns off the fan (because who wants to get out of the warm bed and have cold air blow on you), turns on the bedside lamps (so we aren't blinded), and tells us the weather forecast for the day.
