Overcome Imposter Syndrome & Fear of Success | Watercolor Art | Slow Living in English Countryside

Overcome imposter syndrome and fear of success as an artist and a creative.
I've been sabotaging my own work for as long as I can remember - never happy about any of my achievements, questioning my every move. I lived a busy city life in London, hustling and working endlessly, and I still wasn't happy. I moved to the countryside & pursued a different, more creative career, and I am still feeling like an imposter. Perhaps I need this video more than anyone, so partially, I am making it for myself. I hope it helps you too!

Hello friends, it looks like I’m on a streak of personal video subjects lately - I hope you enjoy this one.
Have you experienced imposter syndrome?

"Never dim your own light just to fit someone else's darkness". What a powerful phrase! It's definitely something we all should remember.

Oh, you're doing it correctly, Daria! Watercolors are layered (or glazed, as it's called), starting with light to dark, building up the color intensity and details. You are doing beautifully!! And really, it doesn't matter in art if it's done according to "rules". You do you! You do you so well already! Congratulations on the YouTube award. 👋🌹

Either this is a common fear or somehow I have found the right diagnosis for my mental affliction. I have feared going public and revealing my story writing for many years. So I keep on writing and rewriting my stories and have turned many into book length novels. What's the use of trying and being rejected or worse yet, being successful and have to face all the critique. Thanks for giving me a little more courage to publish my work, pre-humously.

Good Morning Daria! I completely understand imposter syndrome. Any kind of change can be challenging, especially for creative people who have trouble not overthinking things. Congratulations on your award! It shows that others want to share what you have to offer. Your artwork is the same. There is someone (if not many) who will connect with it and love it. By the way, that test photo is just beautiful. I love that you got the spider web. YES, you are worth it!!! 🥰🐈‍⬛I used to have a little grey cat. 💕 Have a wonderful day. 🧡

Congratulations beautiful Daria!!

You are a force for good in this World. You are noble, brave, and strong.. You truly hold the banner of truth, grace, and compassion. Especially for one's self.. I feel as though a powerful inner and outer renewal is occurring for you. Thank you for reminding us that there is nothing we need to do, to deserve love or acceptance.. who we are IS enough. It is simply a matter of stepping out in to that warm and glowing light of possibilities.

Everything you touch Daria, turns to magic✨️🦋 Thank you for sharing this journey with us.. bringing hope and inspiration to our ever wandering souls.🌸🩷🌷

Thank you for a lovely video with an important message. As an artist, I can totally relate to this impostor syndrome. And the difficulties in valuing your own work, your own worth and your life.
I believe this world needs people who are not afraid to create, to expand, to dream and to make something from their hearts. ❤️ It’s what I want to do, and to be, though it’s not always easy. But the best things hardly are? ☺️

😃👍 Dear Daria, congratulations, on both the success of your channel and the start of your business!! 🎉🎊 It is such a well earned success!👌😊 The fact that it didn't happen overnight makes it all the most impressive: it shows that it is not due to the fancy of a moment, but that the quality of your work has created and maintained a solid and loyal base of subscribers who never ceases to increase. Brava!! 👏👏👏 Your watercolour skills are impressive, your progress is really speedy! 😍And selling prints of your photography work is such a wonderful and exciting idea! Well done! 😁👍 I share every word you said here about the imposter syndrome, and must confess I'm still trying to close those gaps you mentioned. 😅 This video was immensely inspiring and helpful!! 🙏 Thank you so much, Daria!! 🤗👏👏👏🥰😘

You are amazingly talented in the videos I have seen. I share them with my mother and sister in law who resonate with you as well. You are extremely worthy in your field(s) as you live and breathe!! It would be amazing to see your work on display so we could walk around and admire them, then purchase before heading home! A video playing would be nice to see and hear you as we walk the journey of your photos. I have huge aspirations for you from Sweet Home Alabama. My sons say they are happy that I found your videos, because they calm and center me. I too am an artist who has a fear of rejection and not being good enough. 🥰🤗
