Dont just listen. Pick up the mic and call out.

You can sit for hours / days and hear no one. There could be someone on air doing exactly the same thing. Thats what happens on this video.

Hello from Florida, you are 100% correct. We have to call out to get heard. Also truck (lorry) drivers need to start installing radios again and put down those smartphones. Here in the states they only turn on the radio when there is an accident on the highway and the traffic is not moving. At that point it's too late because you are stuck. If you had the CB radio on you would've known ahead of time and avoided the situation. It's amazing to me how many drivers (lorries) don't even have radios anymore. We have to create an awareness of CB radio with this new generation. Regards...

Very true. Once two start a QSO all of a sudden more jump on. I think CB/Ham/and shortwave has gained ground since the pandemic.

I hear you my friend 10 meter is like that when conditions are poor. But when there is a contest going that’s when I hear people. I like rag chewing more than making quick contacts. If solar cycle 25 picks up maybe we can hear you fellas on usb in the USA sometime. Great channel I enjoy watching.

Clearing the calling channel! That’s a lovely thought however round here all people do (when there is anyone on!) is sit on the 19. Nice shed! You can’t beat a radio in a shed. That’s where ours is also. :)

Quiet here Fred. Thought with the Clampdown there might be a few more on. Have the rig on most of the day but apart from interference not a lot on. Apart from the usual suspects pretty quiet. Wont stop me from listening though. Thanks for the video Fred. DJ1.

We do really well in my part of Lancashire. There's always someone out there around Colne, Nelson and Burnley.

That's one thing i have always said pick up the mic a lot of people just sit listening over here or only come on when the skip is about.
Lot of money spend on gear that get used once a year if they are lucky.

Don't take it for granted stay on the air, here in NYC it's dead. I'm in Brooklyn (Bensonhurst ) and the day's of CB I don't hope for a soon return. Sad to say it will take an emergency to push the old timers to dust off the rigs. I'm still set up and listen once in a while, but the house tops antenna farms are just but gone. :(

There is probably a thousand listening for every one person talking. I often hear good DX conditions around 27 and the 5’s then listen to a silent 10 metre ham band.

I'm not sure as to why nobody uses FM over here in the State's. It's all AM here

if you still have you BHI noise cancelling - it would really clean up the background noise. I use the BHI speaker and it works a treat when the noise is bad.
