How to move your Sims 4 Mods folder

Definitely restore the default path 1st, as suggested in the article.

If you don't disable/uninstall onedrive before moving your documents folder, there's a high chance that Onedrive will take over as your documents folder. It will create a new EA folder in this path C:\Users\Public\Public Documents & your game will not have any of your mods or saves.

You are a LIFESAVER. I've been desperately trying to cut down on my 51gb of mods (the color sliders take up so much room!) but just can't bear to part with much of it, the other methods seemed so complicated--even after fighting with OneDrive this was so easy to follow! Now I don't have to worry about constantly running out of room on my c drive <3333

Holy crap I have been needing to do this for SO long and NO ONE has been able to tell me how to do it! I keep running out of space on my hard drive and I just cannot choose which mods to delete, but I also play World of Warcraft and I can't play that off of my external drives, so it was between deleting mods for the Sims4 or not being able to play WoW. Thank you for this! I have a desktop so it made more sense to buy a new internal SSD rather than an external drive. Onedrive definitely made it more difficult but eventually got it figured out! :)

Thank you! Didn't even think about moving the Documents folder location itself, I have way too many mods and they were taking up way too much room on my C drive 😢 recently bought an extra SSD for my laptop too, so this works out perfectly!
