92-95% is the usual targeted range for pre term babies to avoid retinopathy. But like you stated there’s always a prescription! Great information!

I never thought a day in my life about neonatal nursing. I had a clinical in the special care unit last week. Now I can't stop thinking about it. I was studying just to get by now I am engaged, interested, and absorbing the info easily.

I had disper services for my sons, and purchased regular diapers for when we went out. They were breastfed. Both born two days before their due dates, they looked good, apgar scores normal, external fetal monitor. I lost 18 of the 25 pounds with my first son the day he was born, and it took three weeks for the weight to leave with my youngest son. Definitely meconium aspiration syndrome with my first son. They released us from the hospital after three days with him, and later with my youngest son.

Hi, are there any studies that followed postmature infants as they developed through the years? I was 6 weeks late back in the 1960s so I am curious. Yes, it was 6 weeks. I was over 10 lbs. I've had hypoglycemic issues my entire life. thanks

My children didn't have those issues at birth, but my eldest son was born with meconium in the amniotic fluid.
