The 31-day trial followed the Kowalski family, who are accusing Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital of falsely imprisoning their then-10-year-old daughter, Maya Kowalski. The family is also placing blame on the hospital for the death of their mother, Beata Kowalski, who took her own life following a report of child abuse from Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Their attorney was absolutely correct when he said in the beginning of his closing argument, “This never should have happened in the first place” There are kids out there that NEED to be removed from their homes yer they’re ignored. No help comes and they end up beaten, starved and/or exploited by their parents. Maya was NEVER one of them

Why this Hospital kept her for 90 days and did not diagnosed her properly is beyond me !. But after the mom died, the judge allowed her to go to a doctor, who diagnosed her properly within five hours . They harmed her by making her do physical therapy when she was in pain.

A lot of these corrupt social workers need to be held accountable when they do so much damage to families. I appreciate the good ones . When a parent is abusive and or neglectful they are usually held accountable as they should be, but what makes these bad social workers above the law . I don’t see any remorse from Cathy Bedy at all. This is so heartbreaking for the Kowalski family. God bless them .

The thing is...since Kathy, nurses, and doctors, "risk managment", had it out for Beata (Mayas Mom), she probably felt like her daughter would be able to be reunited to the family and get proper care if she was gone...tragically and so twisted, she was right..they finally released her back to the father's custody 6 days after Beatas death and before were threatening medical foster care..absolutely abhorrent and I hope Kathy goes to JAIL, all her cases reopened and investigated, nurses and doctors involved LOSE THEIR LICENSE FOREVER.
