The Greatest Dynasty in NFL History was formed in New England. Led by the Greatest QB and Head Coach of all time. Brady and Belichick's rule would last for nearly 20 years; however, dynasties are rarely formed with clean hands.

Are the Patriots the Biggest Cheaters in NFL History?

Once a case gets to the point where “the evidence was destroyed” everyone knows that they’re guilty as sin.

No wonder why almost every member of Bill Belichick's coaching tree was terrible outside New England

Random tidbit, the Patriots ran that same trick play the time they played the Eagles prior, successfully. Long before any Eagle heard about it in practice

It was actually kind of funny in that wild card game when the Tennessee Titans ended the dynasty coach Mike Vrabel who used to play for Bill Belichick used the same delay-of-game punt trick a couple times to run like 3 or 4 minutes off the clock and the loophole is closed the next year. 😆 When coach Vrabs used Bill Belichick's trick against him he was so pissed on the sidelines cussing and freaking out it was hilarious. 🤣

The part of this I always point back to is Josh McDaniels' brief stint as the Broncos head coach. He was caught (surprise, surprise) video taping the 49ers practice in London, and wasn't the coach for much longer. When he was fired, he was again welcomed back with open arms as the Patriots OC.

There is no doubt the talent was there. But the fact this much cheating was swept under the rug is ridiculous. They treated it like nothing happened, so it probably kept going. And the fact it's rarely talked about is part of the cover up too. Craft used a lot of his power to keep things going.

They even sat there and labeled the Super Bowl after Brady's suspension "Brady's revenge against the NFL".

It was not illegal to tape defensive signals. Everyone in the league did it. What WAS illegal was doing it from the sidelines, which in itself was a recent change. Bill thought the rule was stupid, and continued to tape from the sideline, even though Mangini warned him not to. Robert Kraft said it best: "Bill, did you know it was illegal to tape from the sideline?" "Yes I did." "Well, then, you're a putz."

It’s hard to imagine that the NFL might be as corrupt as FIFA, but there’s no reason to think they aren’t. With big wagers riding on games now, the stakes have been jacked up, and I think we know how that plays out. Think Black Sox. The Pats seem to be getting kid glove treatment in spite of the scandals, and that might have something to do with Kraft’s stature in the league. The NFL is, after all not a public service. It’s a creature of the owners…..full stop.

As a jets fan, I don’t accept bill’s apology to all those affected.

He knew every coach's scheme from his generation. When they fined him, he'd already known everyone's plays on specific downs. The NFL would bounce coaches around, and he had already known their game plans, down and distanced plays for years and years. And when you have the game's greatest game manager it equaled quick success. Now the NFL has younger coaches, he's got a new quarterback, and everyone is more than aware of the dude's cheating. He went right back to being the 9-7 Cleveland Browns he was prior to joining the Pats.

Wow rare clip of Skip talking about the Patriots' advantages from cheating. Must have been before he was on the Brady bandwagon.

It really makes you appreciate and understand Peyton Manning’s greatness that he was able to have as much success against Brady and Belichick as he did despite this level of nefarious behavior. Especially considering the fact that he played them so often.

If im an owner of an NFL team its worth a $500, 000 fine to win a superbowl. Just saying

Cheating occurs more often than you think in the NFL. Rumor has it, the Tennessee Titans somehow got their mitts on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ playbook before the AFC Championship Game in ‘99, which the Titans won.

Spectre and Kraft are both from that protected tribe

if they got caught this many times - I have to wonder how many times they got away with cheating.

I've always found it strange that they've been caught cheating on multiple occasions and in super bowls. Yet not a single title of theirs was stripped from them. Someone like Lance Armstrong who got caught "Cheating" for oxygenation to his blood. Got every single medal he's ever earned ever stripped. I know it's a different profession but it's still horrible.
