I think similar regarding the 2023 Draft, with The Pistons Not getting the number one pick….I know The NBA didn’t want Wembanyama playing for Detroit(*named by the French, who once colonized the city), instead setting up San Antonio with Wemby for a shot at creating a new trilogy saga, to add to the Spurs’ “big man” legacy of legends, like David Robinson, Tim Duncan.

Not all drafts are rigged but when they want to push a story or whatever like bron to Cleveland the “hometown” hero or to pay a team back for whatever reason they make sure certain teams get that number 1.
