I don’t even like the Saints but that 2018 missed call was horrendous lol

Saints no-call was the most egregious missed call I've ever seen.

After the Saints No-Call, the NFL pretended to implement a rule to prevent such shenanigans, but it was poorly applied - challenges were never upheld even if they were obviously missed - and that rule was quickly abandoned. Sean Payton showed up to a press conference after the incident wearing a T-shirt with Goodell sporting a clown nose on it.

“Controversial” and “Rigged” is a big difference…

Edit for all the airheads— This comment was referring to the title of the video and what was said in the video.

As a Detroit native, we really have enough problems without the refs helping, thanks 👍

"Bottlegate" is one of the most shamelessly rigged moments in all of sports IMO. It can't just be chalked up to a misjudgment or incompetence by field officials, it was _booth officials_ making a conscious decision to ignore and defy the league's own rules.

Don't forget about all the sports betting apps advertising during NFL games! 😂

That brown play was just blatantly cheating that’s in the damn rules you can’t go back and review a play after another one has already happened! Just admit you messed up and take it

That Saints Rams game opened a lot of people's eyes about the NFL..

There's NO WAY that call was just "missed".

I love how the thumbnail is Brady fist bumping a ref 🤣🤣🤣

I wont get over the Tuck Rule, that was a fumble period he had both hands on the ball when it was knocked out of his hands.

I can’t believe Goodell has kept his job with all the scandals that have happened on his watch. It’s a good way turn people off to the sport.

Superbowl 40 reminded me of the 2006 nba finals where the refs called alot of fouls on the mavs just like the Seahawks

The Romo and Dez call still burns to this day. I remember it live. We were absolutely outraged when they overturned it. Tony never got his championship...

"$75, 000 to be donated to charities"

$75, 000.... out of... how much does the NFL make a year? 18 billion?

As a Bills fan, I feel the Browns pain there. They was ROBBED!

One of my best friends is a die-hard Saints fan, so I was definitely rooting for them to beat the Rams. We thought they were going to win until the pass interference. To this day I still can't believe what I saw. Shame on them.
On a side note, I never really believed the refs threw games until I saw this. Now I question almost every controversial win I ever see.

Whether rigged or not I remember a play that ended up causing a rule change. The NY Jets beat the Seattle Seahawks on a touchdown that wasn't. Vinny Testaverde was tackled at the goal line. When he fell his HELMET crossed the goal line but the ball which was tucked at his waist did not. This loss kept Seattle from making the playoffs. The rule change was Instant replay challenges were brought into the game. The person who led the charge for the change. None other than Mike Holmgren who up until that season was against the Instant replay.
Funny how 1 loss can change your position but if Refs had made the right call would Coach Holmgren changed his position?

Just the TV coverage alone of that PIT-SEA Super Bowl left me scratching my head. They had short videos going to and from commercials of players with the Lombardi Trophy talking about what it would be like and how much it would mean to win it. That doesn't really stand out until you count the number of Steelers in those clips versus the number of Seahawks. It had to be about 90% Steelers.

Brees vs Brady: The Super Bowl the people deserved. Not the one we got.
