You didn't mention how much energy was lost by the black holes after the merger. If I recall correctly, it was a few solar masses, and then energy went into the gravitational waves.

Sir, the size of black hole is 29 times than sun.
Radius of sun is 700, 000 km.so the black hole radius should be 2, 100, 000 km.
If they are rotating each other by 30/sec. The outer surface has speed 30×2, 100, 000 km/ sec. Which is more than C, and as per Einstein, nothing can travel equal or more than C.

Space is an energy field. Energy density gets stronger towards mass & weaker away from mass. Higher energy density regions act as crests & lower energy density regions as troughs. As massive object moves these crests & troughs also move generating gravitational waves like EM waves produced by moving charges. Gravitational waves propagate through space at light speed for which space acts as medium.

My reckoning of the system is that all the interments are on pendulums to take out the side to side vibrations from the ground, that frequency of the black hole or neutron star spin is not a light wave, and that if gravity waves affect the measuring device and not the laser light then (Gravity DOES NOT affect light) oops to "Gravity Lensing".

If the gravitational wave is in the direction of one of the arms of the interferometer, then the ability to measure the wave seems possible. If the wave direction was between the two and then is it still possible? I would think there would then be no phase shift in the laser beam.

I’m curious about how the gravitational waves were associated with this particular event. The event had to be observed simultaneously with the gravitational waves. Were the rotating black holes known of before the collision and the waves were anticipated?

Does amplitude of gravitational wave decreases with distance it travels? Or even better: does the wavelength increases with space expanding?
