I find a lot of these tips are harder to apply to windows that sit too close to another wall on one side. Window shades and blinds do better in those circumstances. If you do go for a curtain, aim for one that's light filtering and sheer paired with a blackout shade rather than heavy drapery.

hello sir.. really hope for ur reply 🙏🏻🙏🏻. sry if my english so bad. i have a same problem like in this video.. which is the awkward gap. i have a window which is the frame to the ceiling gap is 47inch.. i dont know how high should i hang the rail track.. if i go high to the ceiling, it will have awkward gap between window frame and the rail. and if i place the rail 3inch or 6inch from the frame.. the gap from the rail to ceiling is alot. im stuck now to make a decision.. 😩🥲 really hope for ur idea 🙏🏻🙏🏻 much appreciate if u replying🙏🏻☺️☺️

Those what not to do photos made me cringe. Lol. I swear the people we bought our home from watched tons of "never do this" videos, and that's where they got their inspiration from. The curtains, for example, exactly as wide as the windows, right at the top of the windows trim, and just below the sill. It was criminal... lol
