I still don't understand how everyone thinks that Cars is not one of Pixar's best. It's REALLY REALLY good.

One thing I hear people praising the film for is the major absence of Mater. I kinda feel bad for the guy. Yeah he comes off as annoying, but in the first Cars, he was at least tolerable, and in the "Mater's Tall Tales" shorts, he's actually pretty hilarious, but after "Cars 2", Mater became the bane of every Pixar fans existence, so in "Cars 3" he's only in like 5% of the movie.

After seeing the deleted scenes of Cars 3, it would’ve improved the story even better. The original deleted scenes had better character development for Cruz and Lightning. It’s kind of a shame that good stuff had to be put in the cutting room floor. If you wanna see the deleted scenes, look them up.

While a 6/10 isn't too bad, i still think you were a bit too harsh in places.

While it is certainly has it's predictable aspects, the way it's executed with McQueen going through this makes it rather interesting to the point where you can forgive this, as it's really the only direction to to take the franchise with how it's set up.

On the other hand, some parts could have been executed better to be as strong as it could have been.

Now this review here clearly shows why I stopped acting like a critic in front of movies. When he called the two main leads dull I baffled to be honest, He might not see it but Lightning McQueen is very much a complex character at this point in his arc. And besides We do not only see Cruz struggling we very much see McQueen struggling emotionally(something that not everyone can take away it seems) In fact all the time these days when I see critics pity on characters having flaws that kills the fun in what the movie is actually trying to do, entertain you. Which is exactly why I'm trying to get back and watch movies for what they are nowadays unless it's very obvious a movie is made with no passion or heart whatsoever. It's understandable that we have different views on movies but something that should be clear is that our opinions are not facts and therefor a critic seems to make it very hard to enjoy the hard work (most of the time) creators put into a movie (If there's one thing I learned, it's that you can actually re-tell a story with a similar formula. As long as you show there's passion and heart behind making it)

This made me a much more pleased viewer for watching movies while studying film.

As a kid, Cars was my favourite Pixar movie. I may not like it as much as I use to, but it still holds a special place in my heart. This movie takes me back to when I was watching the first movie as a kid, and makes up for EVERYTHING giving to us in Cars 2.

I went to the theater and it was not bad is a lot better than Cars 2 I have to give cars 3. 7/10 I was really surprised.

I think you are way to harsh against the Cars franchise and you need to really see the story behind it. Lighting's getting old, all athletes will have to go through this one day, and Cars 3 portrays this perfectly with a lot of good scenes, music and characters. You we're way to tough buddy.

I do agree that the film was a tiny bit predictable, but it was a gorgeous film and it really surprised me. I would have to give it either an 8/10 or a 9/10. The short was also very charming!
