His life in prison is slightly better than his life as Gene lol

Jimmy is the only character in Breaking Bad to man up and deal with the consequences of his actions.

Their last scene together just like their first scene together, fully broke me

Love how Walter White's presence is everywhere in both series. Everything is the consequence of his actions.

In criminal life there are 3 exits
1. Walter ended up dead
2. Jesse ended up running away
3. Saul ended up in prison

Simply beautiful

I have a feeling the people who haven’t seen both breaking bad and better call Saul multiple times will hate this ending, but to me its a perfect little bow on the franchise.

2:09 love this shot. They’re both in prison; Kim still lives her mundane life with the guilt of all her wrongdoings weighing on her for the rest of her days, while jimmy took a more literal prison approach. Both in their own respective cages

It couldn’t have ended better
The best ending for both of them
Jimmy finally back after so long
Doing the right thing finally
Having a reunion with Kim as Jimmy and not Saul

I love how we all expected the worse and It played out how it needed too.

The cigarette light being the only thing in colour absolutely destroyed me. It was so inconspicuous that I almost missed it on first viewing, I only saw it subconsciously. It's been theorised or implied for years that what Jimmy and Kim lacked in terms of physical intimacy, rarely kissing or hugging, was made up for in their moments of silence, their 'routine' as they share a cigarette. Even when the world looks bleak, that light acts as a reminder that Jimmy's love for Kim, and vice versa, is enough for the two to continue living. It's a reminder that their flame is still alive, it always will be. I'm unsure what the final shot means. It could be a final goodbye from Kim, as Jimmy disappears behind the corner. But that light tells me that someday, somehow, they will end up together again.

It's heartbreaking that Jimmy had to choose between his freedom, taking the seven year deal, or sacrificing it all to redeem himself with Kim. His love for her was so strong that he was willing to spend his life in prison to gain her forgiveness and reignite that flame. It's beautiful that he truly believes it was all worth it. The greatest onscreen romance ever written.

The look she gives him after scanning the door to see if anybody was watching them. She wants to kiss him so badly, you can see it in her hesitation and the eyes she gives him, but remembers that isn't how they do things. So she opts for the cigarette instead, which lights up the whole room. Beautiful!

This ending is true to BCS's main spirit. I am so glad that guns going off, suicides and other crazy stuff didn't take place at the end. It wouldn't have done justice to what this show stood for since the very beginning.

Those people that are complaining about him not taking the 7 year deal and wanting him to be free are the same people that wanted walt to be alive 🤦‍♂️

I´m still crying everytime I watch this scene, perfect ending for a perfect series. How they manage to make a better series than Breaking Bad?

Jimmy's finger guns at the end are perfect. He's the last outlaw at the end of the line. He finally stopped taking the easy way out of things and accepted his fate. Excellent ending.

The air force captain must be laughing his ass off by now when he heard the news that Saul was finally arrested. "The wheel is gonna turn. And it always does"

this part made me so happy. 1)No ponytail on Kim, but it's curly on the ends! 2) note the lighter flame, and the end of the lit cigarette they're sharing is in color. 3) the little smile Jimmy had when Kim marveled that he got them down to 7 years. You need to watch the real thing, because this cuts out too much

I could sit here and right an essay on every scene and the subtext but instead I'll just say, 14 years of unbelievable cinematography and original scores. Dave Porter and his crew absolutely killed it with the music this season.

regarding the negative feedback, based on what i’ve seen it feels like the people who didn’t like the ending seemed to totally miss the point that Saul Goodman was the bad side of Jimmy’s life and in this episode he actually makes an effort to get rid of Saul. Saul Gone.

Fitting ending for these characters, cant wait to see what the creators come up with next!

Bitter sweet ending. Him watching her walk away while he’s stuck in there and then it hits you that he’ll probably die in there. Crazy ending

"With good behavior, who knows?"

Everything you need to take away from these two series, right there.

The absolute perfect final spoken line for this universe.
