Could someone please answer this and help me understand where I might be doing something wrong!??

So I’ve been counting my calories with an app on my phone including sometimes weighing my food, and when I log it I round up the numbers with my calorie intake just so I for sure am not eating too much and usually I’m feeling wayy to full and stuffed by the end of the day just by eating around 1200+ calories, I’m supposed to be having 1600+ calories and that’s supposed to be a calories deficit for my height and weight, but the problem is how am I supposed to increase my calories to get my metabolism faster without stuffing myself and yet lose weight when if I do stuff myself I gain weight?? I have been exercising and I don’t eat junk food or sweets barely at all, so why is it that I’m super full and gaining weight at 1200+ calories a day when that is already supposed to be a deficit? am I supposed to keep eating when I’m full even though that normally makes me gain weight? And how do I achieve weight loss? I hope someone understands what I’m trying to say
P.S I’m 5’4 and 155 lbs
