Why do people think Christian’s believe everything a prophet said or did is ok

If the Bible condones child marriage, then the Church has missed that part for 2000 years.

Its sad to see how much energy these weirdos invest against Christianity.

Also it never says keep them as your wives. The Bible before numbers is already explicit about marriage and adultery. Combined with the context that the people being slaughtered were doing sexually immoral things only the pure girls were spared and presumably assimilated into the tribe as daughters but people have to read their own perversions into the text.

Some other Heretical religion would say that its okay just to validate their Prophet that they've been thinking that he is greater than Jesus Christ.

Even the much blamed Catolic Church in the medieval period didn’t agree with child marriage

On top of that what he didn’t read was verse 35 confirming that these Girls were actually women because it repeats the verse verbatim

Us recognising the sins of prophets and judges is what sets Christianity apart from ones such as Islam and Mormonism.

Jesus lives! ♥️ and is Yahweh God 🙏🏻 Christ ✝️ and King 👑

Remember, Moses didn't get to enter the promised land because of anger and disobedience issues. (Striking the rock with the staff the 2nd time.)
And it is pretty clear, on moral points.

I heard "condemn" instead of "condone". I was very confused for a minute.

I am rebuilding my faith after a departure and working my way through the Bible currently. I read this and many of the other awful acts done against the enemies of Israel during this period and couldn't figure out how God went from this to what we see the New Testament. Knowing that it was Moses that ordered this has answered so much. Thank you for helping me.

This is a stretch. They take them instead of leaving them to die. It's mercy. Plus, Isrealites don't do chattle slavery. Every 7 years slaves are freed and given property.

The text you cited is incorrectly shown as Romans 3:23. It's actually found in Ezekiel 16:7-8.

Eze 16 is such a beautiful chapter about God’s love for His people.

It literally doesn’t say anything about taking them as wives, or also doesn’t say ‘little’ it just says young even in the words behind the guy. So not only is he making an assumption he is using the word little which isn’t in the verse and proving himself wrong.

At least you're willing to condemn Moses for this action. I've seen apologist try to justify Numbers 31.

No actually it doesn’t condone something just because it’s explaining history to you. But I was pretty confused at first.

What’s happening in this passage is that the people were worried about the younger men and boys revolting against them but they weren’t worried about the women fighting them in the future. And it does not say that you could marry them.
