How to Press Flowers in a Book:
-- In a book, between sheets of parchment paper or paper towel, lay flowers at the peak of their freshness. The flowers should be as dry as possible!
-- Close the book firmly.
-- Pile heavy books on top.
-- Leave for 7 days- 1 month

You can use these flowers in collages and potpourri baskets. If the flowers are edible, you can use them to decorate cookies or cakes!

Once pressed, are they dry enough to put inbetween two pieces of glass for a stained glass piece?

can you press mushrooms too? I'm trying to do a goblincore scrapbook page and the aesthetic calls for mushrooms and dirt

but you get the texture of the paper towel this way and it ruins the natural texture of the flower, is there any workaround for this?

Thanks - my wife just utterly destroyed a valuable old botanical encyclopaedia courtesy of this advice. Paper towel will not protect the book!
