What’s poppin Daredevil’s? It’s me MT and welcome back to the Heavy Spoilers show! This is gonna be a breakdown of Episode 3 of Daredevil Born Again…so if you haven’t seen it, just know that there will be spoilers ahead…and trust me…you’re going to want to go into this one blind…no pun intended. So let’s get into this super intense episode, shall we?

And much like last episode, this episode centers around The White Tiger Hector Ayala once again…as Matt Murdock faces off against District Attorney Benjamin Hochberg to determine whether or not Hector Ayala would spend the rest of his life in jail. We start with Hector and Matt having a chat in his cell. During their conversation, Hector brings up his favorite beach in Puerto Rico…and how he believes its a slice of heaven on earth. Especially the sound of the coqui (ko-kee) frogs that he says, “don’t croak…but instead, sing” to their mates…who they mate with for life. The name “coqui” was literally named after the sound that they make…almost like a Pokemon…and we hear a solemn chorus of coqui at the end of the episode when Hector is, unfortunately, shot on the side of the dome by a man donning the iconic skull logo of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.

Loved that they mentioned Miles’s dad; also that Hector’s niece will be the next White Tiger. I don’t think that was Frank at the end, it was a dirty cop posing as him; that’s why Frank will resurface to clear his name

People are gonna call it slow but I looooved this episode. Great character moments and the trial almost being a metaphorical trial for Matt himself. And that ending fucking hurt.

I knew in the comics Hector dies but I didn’t expect it that quickly in the show

This episode was incredible. The way the trial played out made me feel like I was on the jury myself. And MY GOD I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THAT ENDING HOLY SHIT. Absolutley stoked to see how the rest of the season plays out! This show feels like it will go down as one of the MCU’s best.

That ending was brutal! The beach and frog sounds at the end just rubbed salt in the wound. Now, how the heck do y'all watch, scour for details, edit, and upload a video by the time I watch half of the episode?

He’s so right about tourists hating the sound, went to see family there twice and I still talk about how hard it was to sleep from the coqui.

As a boricua his character touched me I’m glad they put in a hero for the young Puerto Ricans to look up to his character really speaks volumes about who we are and our values as a culture may he rest in peace 🙏🏼

That ending was insane. Definitely another dirty cop who’s twisting what The Punisher symbol means. This will more than likely give Fisk even more of a reason to outlaw vigilantes and get the people and media on his side. And this more than likely is what drives Matt to look for Frank to ask him about the shooting of White Tiger and all the dirty cops using his symbol

Also. I feel like Miles mom was the woman speaking Spanish in Peter’s building at the end of No Way Home. So this nod to his dad was tactically placed

Yo this episode f***ing hurts, White tiger was granted a free man because of his deeds among others then this happens and knowing that the actor also passed just hurts too much, one of the good ones out there!

I think they are doing a miss direction. Fisk was talking while White Tiger was being murdered but I don't think he is behind it. I think Fisk is trying to be "good" but Mrs Fisk is the one that is pulling the strings.
