I love pleated pants. My jeans are pleated and it’s satisfying how they fold. So easy and clean. Good for bending down doesn’t synch your waist at all.

Either trousers here are too tight in the leg or like clown trousers round the waist and when I sit down they almost inflate. Finding good fitting trousers for men, not boys, is getting harder and harder. The only solution is those that need a hem or asking a tailor.

We're deep into niche sartorial territory here but the Proff is, of course, right once again. Few brands offer pleated trousers to begin with, and those that do are usually very shallow. For example, Spier and MacKay, which is otherwise a very tasteful clothier, makes really shallow pleats on their trousers that don't serve any real purpose other than helping to define the crease of the trouser (which I do appreciate, but I would appreciate a functional pleat much more).
