Easy Apple Crumble Recipe UK

Let me show you how to make an easy apple crumble recipe containing only four ingredients. Apple crumble is a very popular recipe in the UK. There's nothing more delicious than a homemade apple crumble for dessert.

Ingredients
700g Apple
150g Plain Flour
75g Butter
75g Sugar

To Make The Apple Crumble
Add the flour to the bowl along with the butter. Rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar.
Add the apple to the baking dish and pour over the crumble topping. Bake in a preheated oven at 170c Gas Mark 5.

A dusting of cinnamon either on the apples, or in the crumb topping is also great. For me cinnamon is best in small amounts (except in cinnamon rolls😊) so you might want more than a dusting.😉

No way butter at room temperature it should be straight from the fridge and very cold.

More success if butter comes straight from the fridge never room temperature.

Great no-fuss crumble. No spiced much, no oats, no almonds and other faff, just a delicious crumble.
Additional note - if using bramley cooking apples, add sugar to them in the dish or the pudding will taste too sour.
