Top EASIEST and HARDEST puzzles of 2024 🤯

I have tried something new today - instead of doing a rating by difficulty video every 20 puzzles, I have decided to rate the easiest and most difficult puzzles of the year! 😊

I have to admit that the results were very interesting and I've learned A LOT about the type of puzzler I am. I hope it help you figure out the same 😉🤗

I've found when working on very *dark* areas that *BOOSTING the lighting* reveals a LOT of color-difference and detail! Also, *DECREASING* it when working on very *light* areas!

I'm predicting your 5000 piece puzzle of green and blue landscape from your dad was the most difficult - not just cause it was 5000 pieces, but rather cause of all that greenery. Also, I think you did a tiger puzzle that was fire-like - had orange sunset that looked super hard. OmG! I was right! Got your top 2 right. I couldn't think of what would be 3 to 5 as there were so many that looked hard in the 1000 or 500 range.

I've only been puzzling for about 18 months, and watching channels like yours has helped me learn about the different styles of puzzles, which has helped me learn what I enjoy. I'm getting better at figuring out the difference between challenging and frustrating. I'm also learning to be ok with not finishing a puzzle when it becomes too frustrating. I've put a few aside and tried them after taking a break, and most of them I"ve put back in the box after realizing them make me want to avoid my puzzle table.

Great video! The hardest puzzles for me are really busy puzzles like Ravensburger "The Grand Library" where I have to spend lots of time looking at the image. The easiest 1000 piece puzzle for me in 2024 was the Ravensburger NYC Apartment. The hardest was the Ravensburger "Kitchen Cupboard"

Yes, I knew the 5000 would appear at the top of the list :) And that puzzle you were given for the first individual round at Worlds... I felt sorry for you all !

I went to a shop last week and couldn't resist. I bought two Ravensburger 1000 : Evening in Santorini, and Cherry blossom at Mount Fuji. I find both images absolutely gorgeous. Maybe you'll feel like doing one of them too ;)
I also like the 1500 on Notre-Dame de Paris but I haven't bought it yet.

I guessed the 5k puzzle as the most difficult followed by the puzzle puzzle 😂 glad there was an insane option, I have an eeboo puzzle that falls into that category.

Also, I think the word you were looking for with the circle of colors puzzle is wedge.

My hardest least enjoyable puzzle ever was one of those "magic eye" images where if you unfocus your eyes an image will appear. Well to me it was all red, white blobs with some black thrown in for good measure.

It had 5 piece shapes. Corners, long border, squat border, long inside, squat inside.

So the entire thing was a test of patience to have a pile of a shape and go through the stack hoping you didn't make an error previously. The cut was reasonably decent so you usually could tell right from wrong spot.

Ugh...that thing got removed from the house after completion, that was just tedious. If I could unfocus my eye to spot the hidden image, i wonder if the puzzle would be easier and 20:26 more enjoyable...or just eyestrain.

Last years most difficult puzzle was probably a scene of a moose in a lake. All muddy browns, blues & greens with a bit of sky and lily pads. And the glare wasn't helping either. That moved out pretty quickly after finishing.

These puzzles are not my style.

Yesterday I finished "Puzzle 9000 Marvel - Across The Comic Universe" (6x1500 pieces). The difficulty is that it consists of much smaller pieces, one picture is the size of a 1000 piece puzzle.

A little help for difficult puzzles, if they are all the same color. We separate the pieces by shape, I saw this with you too. I don't put them on the picture one by one, but I take a piece out of the picture and try to find the missing piece that matches it. This way I progress faster because there is less movement. But it's hard to explain this in another language if you don't speak it. :D I hope it was understandable.

Do you know the wooden puzzles? Are they sold in Slovenia? For example: "Trefl Wooden Shaped puzzle" It's a very good and unique experience. It's completely different from any other puzzle you're used to. There are 160, 500, and 1000 piece puzzles. If you can, get at least one.

I would really like a video on your puzzles with less then 500 pieces. I am chroniclly ill and have a lot of brain fog and every puzzle over 300 pieces are extremly difficult for me Personal. Also i want to get to know mini puzzles like 100-150 pieces, so i might be able to do them in bed on a minitable. ♡
Would you consider to make a video with less piece puzzles?

My method for the puzzles like the blue insane one, is to not look for a piece, instead look for the place. I pick one puzzle piece, possibly the distinct one, and try to fit it somewhere. If it doesn't, then I put in on a separate tray - this is the only way for me, to make sure that I'm not trying the same puzzle over and over. After one pass, I have about half of the initial puzzles left (sometimes more, if puzzle is really difficult), and I start again. This also helps to visualise progress, when after each pass I have significantly less puzzles.
I'm trying to force myself to learn to look for the puzzle instead, because I think it is faster for most of pictures. But for those tricky sections, I highly reccomend going the other way around.

Everyone's hard and easy puzzles are going to be different. Not surprised to see the 5000 piece green one as the hardest. I never do puzzles with vast acres of sky, greenery or sea as I would go bananas trying to do those. I've had puzzles in the past that I thought would be do-able for me but found they weren't. They go back in the box and I move on to the next puzzle. I wonder what you will decide are going to be the easiest and hardest puzzles of 2025?
