The answer is 'no' :)

Why? Because the riddle is impossible, but the question at the end is 'can you answer this riddle?' and the answer to that question is "no"

That's why Harvard students failed because they tried to find a smart answer, but the answer is simply no.

The answer is "Pressure". Pressure can turn polar bears' fur white, make you cry, and make guys have to pee. It can also make girls comb their hair, make celebrities look stupid, and turn pancakes brown. And of course, it makes champagne bubble! As for the last part of the riddle, if you "squeeze" pressure, it pops, but if you "look at" it (i.e. feel pressure), you'll "pop" (i.e. feel overwhelmed or stressed). I think the part of the riddle that says "I can make normal people look like celebrities" is referring to the idea that pressure can make people feel like they need to maintain a certain image or status, as if they were famous like celebrities. So in a way, the "pressure" to conform to societal expectations can make regular people feel like they need to live up to a certain standard, just like how celebrities are often expected to present themselves a certain way. Does that make sense?

Kid: "I can't answer, so No."
Everybody else in kindergarden: *Applauds*

Wait. Wouldn't "Yes" be an adequate answer? Because the real question is "can you answer this riddle?", not "what am I?". So by saying yes you are answering the riddle.

I turn polar bear white and i will make you cry i make guys pee and make girls come their hair i make celebrities look stupid and normal people look like celebrities i turn pancake brown and make your champagne bubble if you squeeze me
i will pop if you look at me you pop

The answer to the riddle is a camera.
Here's how each line fits:
* "I turn polar bear white and i will make you cry": This refers to taking a black-and-white photo of a polar bear, which is often used to evoke emotions of sadness or empathy.
* "I make guys pee and make girls come their hair": This is a playful way of saying that cameras can capture people in embarrassing or unexpected situations, like a man urinating or a woman adjusting her hair.
* "I make celebrities look stupid and normal people look like celebrities": Cameras can both expose the flaws of celebrities and elevate the ordinary to extraordinary, depending on the context and the photographer's skill.
* "I turn pancake brown and make your champagne bubble": This refers to taking photos of food or drinks, which can make them appear more appetizing or vibrant.
* "If you squeeze me i will pop": This suggests that a camera can be used to take a photo quickly or without warning, which can be surprising or even alarming.
* "If you look at me you pop": This is a playful way of saying that cameras can capture people in unexpected or embarrassing moments, making them feel self-conscious or embarrassed.

I have a "Riddle" from the same "category" where it's more about finding how the question works than actually solving it.

I don't know where I heard it first but the original was basically: "Find me one word that can never be said twice."

With that phrasing people tend to find an incredibly long work or one that is really hard to pronounce but when I use it personally, I turn it into a bet and change it up a bit so it's fair.

"Can you give me a word you cannot say more than once a day."

Just so it has a finite duration and they have a chance at winning. Then your job is to get them to repeat it after they said it once, it can be any word, if they are smart they will pick some obscure word they would never accidentally use, perhaps even one in another language but at that point it's just a waiting game for them. But I call those cheap or tricked riddles because they stray from the overall "rules" of riddles even if no real rule book exists.

What I'm getting from this is: the ability for kindergartens to give up easily due to the question, and Harvard students to keep trying no matter what.

My answer was “eyes”. They pop when you squeeze them, they make celebrity’s LOOK like whatever, they make boys cry, they make girls comb their hair (without eyes no one would see it anyway), they make things have color (polar bear and pancake) so that answer comes pretty close I guess.
