Tyler Turner was excited to go skydiving, and could be seen fighting back nerves in 2016 before heading into the air. The 18-year-old’s mom, Francine, was there to see him off, but tragically, the parachute never opened. Tyler plummeted 13,000 feet to his death, attached to his tandem instructor, who was not certified. Since the 1980s, the skydiving company in Lodi, California, has been linked to 20 other deaths. Now a judge has awarded Tyler’s family $40M in damages. #InsideEdition

To watch my child plummet to their death and not being able to help them is every parent's absolute nightmare. May that young man rest in peace for eternity.

Imagine, watching your son fall to his death. No amount can replace that trauma. Damn, this was heart breaking.

Based on the thumbnail, I thought he survived. That was haunting to see his Mom was there to witness it all happen.

The fact that he also said “we’re going to make it” just made it even worse

Man what a kid too. Seemed like a genuine kind dude. This is unbelievable. I always wanted to skydive. But I don’t think I can ever 🪂

This shows how important CERTIFICATION is. Whether it’s a CERTIFIED Dr, Dentist, Teacher, and even Bus Driver!

God that’s honestly the saddest thing and disgusting that they weren’t even closed after so many deaths.

God I can't even imagine his last moments, knowing he's going to die and speeding to the ground, nothing to do, knowing your mom is watching you, god, all the thoughts racing in his head. May he rest in peace

This is horrible, all I can think is how he feels while falling, it's so scary to think about

Can you even imagine? Having all that time to think about how you wish you hadn’t gone skydiving. So awful, my heart goes out to his family! So unfair
