How hard would it be to write "store in water" under the graphic of a spigot so people know that's what it means?

I use Gatorade to replenish it's electrolytes.

You have saved me a lot of money over the years & resolved many problems I have encountered. Appreciate all the knowledge you share with us. Ignore the trolls there everywhere. Thank you & have a good day.

I store my water in trimmer line to make it last longer. Gives it a nice piquant flavor too.

I have been doing that since the 70's. It does make the line last longer!

Makes sense. I'm going to start soaking all my electrical wire too.

I remember some gardeners telling us to do this 20-30 years back.

My favorite trimmer hack is to throw the string away and install polycarbonate blades.

Nice tip. I never thought to apply this trick on a line trimmer. But I discovered years ago that plastic/nylon parts on R/C cars is much stronger if you soak the chassis in hot water now and then. Or even boil the suspension arms and stuff. I found after a thorough sink wash I rarely broke anything. It reduces the brittleness.

Materials technician agrees, good strategy.

Always looking for trimmer line hacks - this by far is one of the seemingly stranger ones but it makes sense. Will be trying this out.

Worked for Stihl here in australia for years....
Only works with Nylon based snipper line....
Store in the laundry as well..
You need enough to cover the whole reel of line, and in a sealed container....FYI works for Nylon fishing line as well

The best trimmer line I have ever used for its size which is .0080 inches is the Dewalt trimmer line I’ve had this role for over two years now and it’s still kicking butt. It wears like iron.

Best tip I’ve gotten in 10 years thanks.

I feel like a dummy for never considering this, but I need to buy some new line for this season so I'll be storing it in water!

Makes it more pliable, and makes it cut better, excellent tip!

I soaked it in water overnight but now the engine is waterlogged.

I heard about this before but tried it on some scraps of had laying around and couldn’t feel any difference in the line. That said, if Jeremy says it, then I trust it’ll work. Thanks, Jeremy!
