Anybody else think it's weird that Nurse Joy goes around healing Pokemon but gets into battles where she fights them until they lose consciousness.

I love how at the start they gave you their partner pokemon in the cartoons. Each region (not counting special nurse joys) had different common healing partner pokemon.

I’m the creator of the Last Nurse Joy! It’s around 2 years old, so I apologise for any jank…
It’s still a joy to see people play through this old story and watch the animations.
(And - thankyou for recommending that people play it themselves! That was very considerate, considering it’s a puzzle game.)

We NEED more games like The Last Nurse Joy!
The replayability and satisfaction from completing tasks is wonderful and the ability to interact with Pokemon and other NOCs in unique ways that isn't a back-and-forth filler dialogue is wonderful! The main character has personality, there's plenty of detail put into the game, and the speculative Pokemon biology is very similar to what Ken Sugimori depicted with some of his artwork and wonderfully fits with the Pokemon fossil exhibit (I cannot remember the name of this event, so apologies. Please look for it though! It's very interesting in the way it explains Pokemon evolution, physiology, and social structures. It even takes soft bodied Pokemon onto account!).

If only the official companies behind the Pokemon franchise would branch past the structures of Mystery Dungeon and the main series. We had Puzzle League, Stadium, Snap, and even Hey You, Pikachu! If only we could get more interactive games with personality like Black and White and X and Y tried to achieve with NPC and Party interactions. Let us hope for more independent creators to expand upon the franchise and influence the official sources to create more interactive, memorable experiences like we used to get!

I'm kind of surprised GameFreak never made a spin-off game for some of these extra characters. Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy could be interesting. Heck, Todd got his own game in Pokemon Snap.

The last nurse Joy reminds me of Legends Arceus in both games you use old methods to play, In Legends Arceus your Pokédex is a notebook and here you heal Pokémon the way a veterinary heals animals

That second nurse joy game is what I would have wanted to play as a kid, as I wanted to be a veterinarian as a child, until my lack of chemistry grades cut that dream short.
