Kratos about everyone else: "I probably shouldn't have done that"
Kratos about Ares and Hercules: "Ill fuckin do it again"

While I do respect Kratos for not mentioning it, he did give Hercules a chance to walk away.

"You aspire to be an Olympian yet their reign is ending"

Always thought that line was hard

“Given Zeus’ reputation, I’m sure you had plenty more of them to spare.”
Well said Mimir.

Unlike the other Olympians, Kratos actually tried to talk Hercules down instead of immediately attacking him like the others.

"He wanted to be god of war for every reason but the right one." Seeing that scene again he hit the nail on the head there. For better or worse, Kratos kept things the way it was known.

I think the reason Kratos doesn’t feel regret over Hercules is because he made it clear during the last game he has a rule and belief about killing now. He doesn’t want to kill anyone if given the choice but if someone is a threat and refuse to back down then everything that happens is on them.

Hercules was a dangerous warrior who Kratos acknowledged as an equal and would rather avoid fighting but like he said once he chose to fight him then he wasn’t holding back since Hercules is a legit threat. It doesn’t help too that Hercules served Hera probably giving him memories of his time with Ares. Anyone who read the myth of Hercules can tell you. Hera tricked Hercules into murdering his family by taking advantage of his anger and bloodlust just like Kratos.

I love how the first thing out of Mimir's mouth after Kratos says he killed his half-brother was a jab at how badly Zeus couldn't keep it in his pants. 🤣

I like how they always refer to him as Hercules, since that's his Roman name. His Greek name is Heracles.

0:25 Looks like Zeus reputation of "all-fucker" reached far beyond greek realm :P

It's interesting fact that Hercules was voiced by Hercules TV series actor, Kevin Sorbo himself.

Personally I blame both Hercules and Hera for their own deaths, everything Kratos said him was true and given what we already know about the 12 labours Hera was also responsible for Hercules's eventual death, and Kratos didnt even acknowledge Hera as a threat until she pushed him too ar in a drunken rage.

I don't think we the players even regret killing most of the Greek gods. Well I say MOST.

Remember Doorstopper?

Not to mention every single human who was in our way that we crushed just because

To be fair, Kratos tried to reason with Hercules. The first thing he said to him was that "this is not between us, " like he genuinely wanted Hercules to walk away.

The fact that Kevin Sorbo reprised his role as Hercules was so cool.

I honestly think that it's weird that Kratos doesn't regret killing Hercules even though he acknowledged how similar they were, acknowledged their brotherhood, and he went out of his way try to reason with Hercules on order to avoid fighting him.

I like how Kratos never mentions killing Zeus so did Zeus deserve to die as well? Even though Zeus was infected by the Evils of Pandora’s Box. I think Zeus was already a terrible person before he was infected so that could be the reason why Kratos doesn’t show remorse in killing his own Father.
