When I was younger I always thought that both Santa Claus and my parents would deliver presents on Christmas. Like half are from Santa and the other half are from my parents.

There are so many Christmas movies who imply this. Jingle all the way is all about the dad trying to find the specific gift, and even Christmas Story had the small line about grabbing the gifts. But you won't hear ppl complaining about that

For kids, isn't getting separate presents from your parents (separate to Santa presents) a normal thing? That was normal in my household. All of our major presents in my house were addressed from our parents. The stuff addressed from Santa was more minor things. I don't see how Greg finding his main present would imply that Santa isn't real. It very much seemed like that was his main present from his parents (and not Santa). I think there might be other smaller things which give a notion against Santa's existence but that whole finding a present does not seem like a strong argument to me.

When I was a kid, we always had gifts labeled "from Mom&Dad" and there were a few labeled "from Santa". So parents buying gifts wasn't a spoiler from me.
