Dr. Butler,
Your channel is a SENSATIONAL gift to _The Public's Understanding of Science._ A channel appropriately thought of as: *The Personal Voyage Continues*

Either by wise contrivance or (more plausibly) consistent with the very basis for which the _Cosmos Homage_ is deserved, it is your HUMILITY ... and sincere LOVE of science that evokes the comparison and makes your content so good. I imagine you have a 'special reverence' for Cosmos, Sagan and of course, Ann Druyan. Though such a sequel is a tall order for anyone, DeGrasse's ego utterly ruined it (imho). Ample evidence that he's a _celebrity-scientist_ ... never to be confused for the alternate permutation, who's more concerned with grooming his image than intellectual honesty, and whose explanations are his ego's vehicles to boast. Granted, he's not a joke like Deepak..! But, neither you nor Sagan would ever allow a whiff of such pride to slip through a crack of an explanation, because it'd waste a word that could've been better spent simplifying a subject which I have to 'cognitively stretch out" for to grasp. Nor would either of you evade answering questions for fear of foreclosing opportunities from those whose politics or beliefs differ from yours...such as theism, evolution, etc.

No no, what matters to like minded, honest thinkers is promoting critical thinking, clear explanations and its antecedent, clarity of thought.

Your channel (You basically) are EXEMPLARY of why I was literally enamored with the significance of YouTube as of 2006-2007 ... and as it continued to operate until about 2014 when I first became aware of the ideological and political bases by which they were adjudicating policy. And obviously, by 2017 the jig was up. THANKFULLY, you didn't pick a risky topic like Poli Sci or the Constitution! ... because what a tragedy it'd be if the things Wojcicki classified as 'THOUGHT CRIMES' included science (already). SADLY, I LITERALLY HAVE to contemplate "backing up" your works should they find some 'truths in your content to be offensive.'

It is TRULY SAD that this potential bastion of democratized access to knowledge ... perished from self-inflicted GSW...
And I hope they're eventually rehabilitated -- along with those Americans who've also had their faculties hijacked by cognitive-viruses like postmodernism.
If not, their epitaphs should acknowledge the pathogen responsible for their ideological demise; ideology over principle.

YOU are TRULY an ambassador to science, and literally deserve AWARDS acknowledging you.

It's tragic ... literally tragic to think of the garbage emphatically promoted while your continuous production of high quality content with virtually impeccable thumgs-up to down ratio ... wasn't ever suggested to me. ME, someone who listens to lectures by Sean Carroll, and Peter Galison's: "The Assassin of Relativity" ... which I PLEAD WITH YOU TO LISTEN TO! It's a story of Einstein so few have heard of ... though, I bet you already know of his colleague, Friedrich Adler and his political passions. lol. :)

Last but what CANNOT be least:

You mentioned Dr. Frank Shu! Someone whose lectures I've ALSO watched!! He's perhaps an ...astrophysicist? But I listened to his lectures during a period of interest in Nuclear (before I'd seen the error-margins of Climate-Activists ... and whether they're right or not, Shu's diverted-attention, as he self-describes is absolutely justified). Whether it's the biggest political issue, or truly the biggest actual issue for the world -- the ONLY plausible source for baseload, low CO2 energy ..? Nuclear! And at that ..? Thorium sure sounds pretty good. Fusion may be a little better ... but Fission's _GOOD ENOUGH_ and why would we WAIT if this IS the crisis they say it is ... for some SSTO possibility that's always on a 10-year-horizon ... namely, Fusion. And that best case scenario is for experimental proof-of-concept! Which'd STILL take another 5+ years if treated like a manhattan project to R&D the engineering challenges of containment, etc etc., and such a rushed 20-year-timeline would require every single thing work out favorably -- and -- require the risks of skipping all safety testing ... and instead just rushing to production. Something we could SAFELY do right now ... with fission ... and despite how incredibly safe that industry actually is per TW-Hr ... would be even safer with mass consistency ... even ignoring the auspice of LOW PRESSURE and HIGH TEMPERATURE ... that using a salt moderator would yield! I'd happily life right next to the first one. With high temperature, we could do desalination (cheaply) and even carbon-neutral diesel to quickly disrupt fossil fuels CO2 ... without the self-defeating effects of manufacturing a new car for everyone which makes quite a bit of CO2 itself.

Thank you very much for all your hard work, and for providing this for all to see. I wish people would turn their brains back on. By understanding geodesic flight alone, the so called flat earth movement could start understanding why emergency landings are often not where they would expect them to be. Lack of understanding one thing, isn't proof of another thing you misunderstand.
