if someone is driving fast or in a way you don't like keep in mind one of the passengers may be having a major medical emergency and you blocking that driver may be the difference between life and death for them so just let them pass it doesn't effect you and it just might save a life

Lawnmower employee knew what he was doing lol. That 100% read as an employee who was in absolute agreement that the policy was batcrap stupid and was punishing their company for it lol. I've overturned a few stupid policies by following them to the letter and let management see how much time and money these new policies were wasting lol.

It's kinda sad how some bosses go from making you ruin the job, blaming you for ruining it, treating you like absolute garbage, threatening to cut your pay, etc. to begging you not to leave and praising you as soon as you say you're gonna quit. Replace that with any other relationship and it becomes clear just how disgustingly abusive and toxic it is, yet this is how our job market works on a daily basis in any industry.

These stories are giving me very good ideas for MC in my own job at a well known financial institution.

US Federal Labor Laws state that under certain circumstances the only time you, as a salaried employee, can't get overtime is if you are a supervisor or your job description falls upon very specific list of occupations or rather professions, such as attorney, doctor, etc.

Everybody always thinks that they're being so funny or getting back at someone by trying to pay with pennies, forgetting that they have to stay while the pennies get counted, and that can take a long, long time. Even buying something that costs 2 dollars, since that's going to mean counting out 200 pennies.

That used car story kinda upsets me.. 30-45 minutes to buy a car? When we got out Bolt a month ago, we were in there for FOUR HOURS waiting for paperwork to go through, bouncing us between sales departments, etc.. I think we had to deal with 4 or 5 different people to buy that car.

I like your compolations because you speak loud and clear enough that I don't need to keep the computer right up to my ear while cleaning

Won't subscribe due to frequent ads, disliked also. Especially sick of the Israel vacation schtick.

Paying the bill in pennies would be illegal in the UK. A shop can refuse to accept any payment containing more than 20 of the same value coin.

I feel like the photographer one was less malicious and more just the naturel results of firing an employee who had gone above and beyond what was ask of them

For the eye doctor story--my dad did something like that, memorize the chart. His eyes were so bad as a kid that he couldn't see the chart at all without his glasses. Like, he could roughly see the outline of the paper bc of the color change from the wall. He read it perfectly right eye, perfectly left eye, perfectly no eyes! The nurse tsked and told him to stop that.

My father had a local cartage company, not a delivery service. Basically delivering supplies and finished products from company A to company B.
Anyway, one day he broke down on the road and mover to the right as much as possible, no shoulder. He put out all the safety reflectors he had to direct traffic away from him. He was working on the truck to get it ready for a tow when he heard a car creep up upon him. This woman had neatly creep through the maze of reflectors to be right behind his truck. He went up to her and told her that he was broken down and wasn’t moving. She gave that deer in the head lights look then began to back up crushing most of the safety reflectors. Not a Karen, but just not that observant or knowing.

The part on the 'Outside Sales Position' reminded me of the Ferrengi Rule of Acquisition # 211 - 'Employees are the rungs on your ladder to success. Do not hesitate to step on them'.

On the subject of unwanted phone calls, my aged mother used to get a heavy breather phone call in the late afternoons/early evenings. I lent her a spare railway whistle and said next time he rings to blow as loud as she could down the phone. It stopped the calls.

I have to say I love your twisted sense of humor at how you could make things more malicious and twisted. My sense of humor is also very twisted but mine is a bit darker.. 😁😁😈😈😜😜😜

Just in case people don't know this you DO NOT have to accept 20, 000 pennies as payment for a bill. You are well with your legal rights to deny that.
