The difference with the file editing for the “toxic workplace” one is, they were removing their own private property/ intellectual property from an ex employer’s property, thus returning it to the state it was given to them, therefore, no wrongdoing

My boyfriend works for a company that uses the just-in-time inventory method. It's pretty much never been a benefit. The product is manufactured overseas, and it arrives at our house (he's the main inventory keeper and product shipper), where we catalog the products, then ship them as needed. They are almost always desperately needed. Due to issues with covid, and then customs and red tape, etc, we're routinely a few weeks behind on shipments. It's been the norm for a while now to receive entire pallets of shipments, scramble to go through each and every box, pack them up, and ship the entire pallet in a single day, and bam, we're behind again because we're waiting on more products. It sucks because we know if everything goes smoothly, it doesn't have to be like this. But crap happens, forklifts break down, employees overseas call in sick, things you really can't plan for, and it can put entire shipments nearly a month behind schedule. Thankfully we're transitioning out of that method and it's gotten so much easier, not to mention things are finally being delivered to our customers on time.

The one about the files being deleted: if that company didn't know to back up critical files in a separate external source, they're not even functionally computer literate.

Bacon Story: I want to know why they think it's the customers job to assure accuracy of the order? That's the employee's job...literally...what they were hired to do.
Putting up a sign that basically states that they can rob you...unless you catch them at it immediately...is ridiculous. No. If I pay for something...I had better get it.
OP did the exact right thing...did not let them bully him...nor allow them to call him a thief...nor to get away with not doing their job...while trying to blame the victim.
You can call this "petty" if you want to...but I applaud OP for standing up to them. If more people did this there would be a whole lot less of the chicanery going on.
No...I would never patronize that particular establishment again. Call me a thief? You will NEVER get my money again.
Plus...BACON.
Ethnic Hair: Ponytail? Will ALL other employees be required to put their hair in a ponytail as well? If not...you are singling me out & as such are violating company policy & the LAW.
Sick Leave: Never ever resign/quit...always force them to fire you as they are required to state the official reason on the paperwork...which can work to your benefit.

OP: "Euros"
Narrator: "So I think OP's Canadian"

I used to order from Dominoes all the time, even have the app on my phone. I have NEVER EVER had a problem with Dominoes until one day last year. I ordered my usual and was watching the Tracker on my phone and laptop. After 45 minutes there was no change with the Tracker so I called the store, the person that answered said that the Pizza I ordered came back to the restaurant because I never put in my address which is false and I proved was false so they said they'll send it out with the next driver. Well, another 45 minute wait and still no Pizza so I called for a second time and they said that the Driver has other orders he has to Deliver BEFORE Mine which is already late and probably cold by now and they said they'll send it out with the next driver. They never offered any compensation or anything free or anything, not even an "I'm sorry" from them. Well another hour wait and still no Pizza... I was getting ticked. So for the third and final time I called them again and this time the Manager blamed me for everything to which I yelled to cancel my effin' order! I hung up on her as she was still blaming me. I called Pizza Hut, got my Pizza within 20 minutes and I never went back to Dominoes. I gave Dominoes a 1 Star Review (wish it was 0 stars but can only do 1 Star explaining everything that happened.) I got a call and an emal from Corporate saying they'll investigate and check the phone logs and camera footage in that store. They apologized and offered me coupons which I refused. I told them they need to check into that manager and I will never order from them again until she is gone or retrained or demoted. I found out a month later that 3 workers quit on the spot because of the way she was talking about me to her workers and they all reported her too. She has since been fired but I still haven't ordered from there yet... I found another place I enjoy more

That wasn't a fight/charge back for $3 that was a fight for bacon. 🥓🥓 And if it was in the past year it was probably only 1 or 2 strips .

In my experience, customers who tip almost never lie about what they ordered.
I work in a food truck and if you tip me good, I tell the boys in the back to make it good and go out of my way to double check you've got every single thing on that ticket.
No tip? That's fine, standard service, Im totally good with that. But when you've paid me 5$ tip on a 20$ plate I tell my boss and hes making another dish, not just the bacon. We take you guys *very* seriously.
Even if you DIDNT TIP, we would still at the very very bare minimum give you the bacon. Seriously, I got second hand embarrassment listening to that story.

I once lost my voice, sure as heck couldn't of called in early, or well not done well in trying to talk to them. I had tried texting my gran but she decided to call. Picture someone trying to shout to get their voice to work in front of a health center on a rainy dreary day. Did manage to get home just fine, and was teased about the lack of voice by roomies.

This is like getting screwed by wal-mart, they told me, "You returned too many things last year."
I returned nothing. SO I bot a number of large appliances, took out a certain part and returned
the appliance and got my $$ back. I don't know how they dealt with it but it was NOT my problem

About the guy deleting files on his computer...that's actually policy in some companies to wipe the hard drive on exiting the company. Also the he used were, according to the text, his files meaning he had created them for his own use, therefore deemed his personal files and since he wasn't going to need them anymore within legal rights to remove any personal files on his computer. Hence wiping the hard drive for removal of any personal files is within legality of the required removal of personal files. He had already asked several times if there was anything more that they needed which if management had paid attention would have allowed them to request said files to be passed on to the next user but management shot down all attempts for him to give them the files on his computer. Thereby making management responsible for the cluster f*** after he left.

Hey Rob, sometimes business require you to reformat/reset company computers upon returning. Regardless of retiring, firing or quiting. So it just depends on what the company policies are

I got my old gm at taco Bell transferred and demoted for wage theft and other illegal practices then she got fired from the other store for continuing her behavior and would go out of my way to go to the store she was at until she got fired. I filed one of the last complaints against her directly to the area manager for tampering with my food and she was fired within 48hrs

@1:08 they did say that they had worked that dept and listened to music before, it was just that they were walking to get tags and weren't actively working in the supervisor's eyes, not the music is self

The restaurant one is one i see as funny. If you get the chargeback you should keep going because now they wont risk messing up your order due to the consequences of last time.
