WINNING AT LIFE
@Life411 is evolving from cars and my hip journey to winning strategies for the game of life on topics including Family, Finance, Health, etc. Here's the Bottom Line that shaped our lives:
✅We cannot change our past. We can only learn from it.
✅Happiness is not a function of money or social status. It is a function of family, friends and spirituality.
✅Great things are accomplished because we didn't know how hard they would be when we began.
✅Every person has the ability to improve the life of someone else. Yup, that's why I'm doing this!

Thanks for the info. I found you about 2 weeks before my THR. I had my procedure on 8/20 anterior method right side. I’m now 44 days post op. The first 2 weeks were a bit rough, but now I’m back to normal mobility, walking a mile or more a day and pain free. Your info provided me good insights into what to expect.

Hi,
Just found your site and have been looking at lots of your hip videos, great stuff and thanks for doing this.
I'm in the U.K., and we do health things differently here. I have had a problem with my hip for over 15 years.
I had to give up my favourite sport (competitive team kite flying) which is a bit like playing squash but you're flying a sport kite simultaneously.
I've been back and forth to my doctor who tried all sorts of things and eventually sent me to a consultant who said I hadn't been taking enough drugs for them to do anything!
They gave me more pills and I went back a month ago when they said I now have advanced arthritis in my left hip and need a replacement. They said this will be in the next 3 months. I have phoned and tried to get a surgery date but nothing so far. I suppose this is because our NHS system is broken but I'm hoping things will improve with our new government. I am 70 and retired and don't have the spare cash to be able to fund a replacement on my own. Hopefully, I'll get a call soon. Back to watching more videos. Thanks!

I wreaked my mountain bike partially broke my hip. Walk on it for a week and a half thought it was a bad bruise. Finished the break when I slipped on the pool deck. Still thought it was badly bruised because of groin pain. Went to er surprising my hip was broken
. I'm a week post op. Only taking Tylenol and ibuprofen . I wish I could have planned surgery. It would have been nice prep. I'm 62 and had almost not arthritis in either hip. Good videos 👍

I noticed at random times or short periods when my hip would give out and then act normal. This was a few years ago, until October of 2023 where my hip was getting worse, I had an X-ray and was diagnosed with severe Osteoarthritis in the hip. So this October 2024 was the total hip replacement surgery. I am in PT 2 to 3 times a week, been unemployed since October 2023 so I am in a hurry to get back into the workforce to start earning money. Or be declared that I have a disability that makes it hard to do my previous jobs. Hoping for the best, because family thinks I am able to be a man and get employed again. Even though I am 60 years old and feel my body is giving signs of other health issues like high blood pressure and diabetes.

They told me wait as long as possible. I wish I did mine right when they told me I have AVN.
