The Nintendo Switch 1 was so successful that Nintendo had to make a "2" console for the very first time. That says a lot

"Here's what you need to know" Proceeds to just say what we can observe in the trailer...

I thought the teaser made it abundantly clear that the attachment mechanism was magnetic snap-in.

Wild that Nintendo was the last to announce their new console.

Just because the system is not launching with colored joy-con controllers, doesn't mean they won't be available.

When the Nintendo switch originally launched the controllers were also black. Colors didn't come until later. So I wouldn't jump to any conclusions based off of the launch color.

I know Nintendo are innovative and they've given us some great consoles over the years, but the Switch genuinely felt like they'd finally found what they were after, it was like the perfect combination of everything Nintendo had tried before, so it only makes sense that we get a Switch 2 instead of something totally different, and I'm so damn happy. What a console it has been, and what a library.

I hope they make it so that all of the games from the 1st switch will still be portable to the 2nd, because there's some obscure games on the switch that I NEED on the switch 2.

2:04 Correction: Gameboy Color exclusive games did NOT have the notch purposefully. The notch was an original DMG Gameboy function.

Gameboy games with color options would include the notch for backwards compatibility only, not forward. GBC exclusive games removed the notch so the DMG wouldn’t even turn on correctly if a GBC game was inserted.

This is most likely what Nintendo will do, or something similar to how they re-used the notch idea for 3DS games to slightly differ from NDS carts, but save cost overall in cart reusability.

This whole teaser was just Nintendo saying "Fine! Here...see?! It's real!...now leave us alone".

So this video just walked us through the reveal video. Not an ounce of added value.

I was hoping they would include a stylus. Also, those side bezels are atrocious but are probably due to the new magnetic joycon mechanism

The thumbnail makes the bezels not look garbage lol

It's looking wonderful for me. PC-like style. Like an upgrade for those who liked first Switch.
Please, Nintendo, you are at your best. Don't make Switch 3.

Switch 2 got some tough competition now since the launch of the first Switch.

You have it backwards. Game Boy Color game DON'T have a notch in them. The original Game Boy carts did.

I noticed on Mario Kart it started on the Mario Bros Circuit and instead of going left with the circuit it was cordoned off with barriers and corner arrows going off circuit to the right leading to what looked like a long road off in the distance...What is that about? Could it be a big open world like Forza Horizon.

Only games I can see not being compatible with 2 is cardboard and VR stuff that wraps around the OG other than that I'd be shocked and very confused if something else doesn't work anymore 😂

I wonder if the "new button" is actually a tiny mouse track pad? Since the controllers have a "mouse" mode, it might be to allow similar functionality in hand-held mode
