Valve has a rich history of making beloved games including Half-Life, Portal, and Left 4 Dead. One of its most popular games is the online first-person shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which launched in 2012, and became a hit with the esports community. Since then, Valve has supported it tremendously, but now, it seems like a fully-fledged sequel may be in the works. Referred to as Counter-Strike 2, this new supposed sequel aims to change things from the previous entry in major ways. Here’s what we know about the supposed Counter-Strike 2.

I know i might be the only person with this opinion but i think they haven't improved a lot compared to CS GO. I mean the new CS2 looks too much colourful and cartoonish in many instances.

Infact, in some cases, I really prefer CS GO graphics. Especially the C4 explosion, the Smoke texture, the maps exposure and the environment interaction.

They took almost 10 years from CS GO so i was expecting improvements such as

1. Better gun physics (accurate reload times depending upon guns and recoils)

2. Improved Guns and Map textures.

3. More interaction with the environment.

4. Improved gameplay and overall physics (Player movement speed decreases when he is hit. Accuracy reduces upon hit. Range of throwing grenades affecting depending upon the damage. Close grenade explosion causes temporary (5 sec) dizziness. Better punch and knife movements. Better grenade throwing movements.

5. More guns and charachters in squads.

6. They should have atleast improved the gun mechanics, the environmental textures & movement physics.

I always love how valve is able to make their map and graphics extremely crisp and non distracting without loosing any detail or realism

I just noticed, thay added a sound detection ring to the minimap, like in valorant, to see up until where your enemies will hear you

So basically it's Counter Strike 2.0. Sort of like Overwatch 2. Still looks great though, they played it safe because they already know what works since it's the most popular game

The smoke is really good and when you shoot into the smoke it opens up. Love it.
