Dr. Aseem Malhotra is a best-selling author, researcher, and one of the most well-known cardiologists in the U.K. His views on cholesterol and sugar, controversial primarily among those who choose to promote special interests at the expense of public health, have landed him in numerous front-page news articles and on primetime television shows. Here, Malhotra discusses his experiences moving from clinical practice into the public eye and shares the lessons he has learned about public health advocacy along the way.

Sorry about your mother's sad ending, so young. RIP. Excellent talk as usual.

Have seen the video Opening Remarks (4yago)when you said you were kind of sick in Prague ! I guess your Gardian Angel stopped you from meeting a nice "doll" who could have stolen your heart ! I hope that's a good sign for me ! 😅😂💘

I watched a video some time ago where Dr. Thomas Dayspring said we need not worry unless LDL is above 200. Now, Dr. Aseem shows us we don't have to worry unless LDL is over 300. Bottom Line I guess is when it comes to heart disease, LDL isn't the culprit your doctor and cardiologist make it out to be.

I feel I’ve outgrown my PCP and cardiologist. Trying real hard not to treat them with disrespect but they are sooo allopathic. At 62 I put myself on keto & intermittent fasting - all my markers went down, lost some weight and took myself off 17 Rx I was on daily. My PCP still complains about my cholesterol on my A1c blood draw and my cardio doc still attempts to push a statin and aspirin. Why are they so willing to show ignorance and get surprised at my “health” now at 66! It truly annoys me. I cut my visits down to 1 a year. Paying a copay annoys me too as they did nothing to help me progress, I did it without them and they are upset with my results???

I came to learn more about health not to have some non-American take a cheap shot against our president (like Trump or not).
