stretching means more tension on the guitar which could lead to the saddle ripping off or the neck to bend or break depending on the tension of the strings, it only takes a few days for new strings to settle so i prefer a few days patience over the risk of ruining the guitar..

This can actually make your strings harder to tune in the long run. Instead, try tuning a little sharp when you attach the strings. This will let them naturally come to regular tension

After changing strings I learned that they stay in tune much quicker when you simply tune them a half or a whole tone higher. When you do this 2 or 3 days in a row, they almost automatically get more stable in tune.
The wound strings are not that big of a problem: they stay in tune quite quickly. But the 3 top strings really need some extra stretch in the beginning to settle.

I'm mostly an acoustic player but for classical I never stretch my strings. My teacher said it may lead to the nylon core of the wound strings to get damaged, never experienced it myself but guess habits just develop

new, old strings will always get out of tune after playing 3, 5 music pieces.its a perpetual guitar nuance that it will always get out of tune.settled or not.I only stretch strings if I want to observed and test the quality of the string I bought, coz here in Asia there's lot of fakes.i stretch, the strings, something on or in it breaks, means I'm not buying that string from that shop anymore.
