Great video. However my iphone 6s could not find the (first generation) chromecast. I solved this by changing my phones wifi to the chromecast (I know that sounds odd). The Google home app can find the chromecast. Turn the phones wifi back to normal wifi and continue with the setup process.

Make sure the device is nearby and connected to power. Wait around 45 seconds for the device to fully turn on

I want it to where it will cast my Home Screen and other apps like social media and games and I know there is a way to do that. It was something with screen share I don’t have that on my new iPhone anymore

It wants me to link with TV code. After bringing up YouTube app on my tv. I cannot get this. Otherwise until this point all was going well. It used to work without any issues. Thank you.

So I assume it will only cast audio and display to the tv when using 'google owned' apps such as Youtube and Google Photos? So does it display an iPhone game and the audio? for instance if I would like to play say angry bird or something on the tv.

The title of your video mentions casting to the TV via Google home. But you switchef to an app to cast from there through Chromecast. Google home has a button to allowed to cast your devices display to the TV, which the title of your video eludes too, but you didn't show anything about that.
