I have more respect for CRT filters ever since I learned that game artists back in the day intentionally accommodated for the scanlines.

I use "crt warm potato" which adds good scan lines that adjust properly no matter what res you are using i save that shader globally so every core and game boots with scanlines.

I run megadrive, saturn, 3do and snes cores which are old consoles that need scanlines to look like the original hardware.

Iv been using the gbc shader on the android version of retroarch and it's really cool it looks like what you would see on the actual Gameboy Color screen in real life

The slang shaders are for Vulcan, glsl is for GL.

I have an HDMI to component converter for my CRT and just can't go back for retro games lol
the faux scanlines do look decent on this shader though surprisingly, that's probably the best option other than a CRT

edit: also a really cool thing about emulating but using a CRT is playing N64 games at 60fps but still having an ideal look

Do you know how to combine gdapt with crt guest-advanced-fast?

is there any program that can do this with a realtime image? I want to play modern pixel games with such a filter))) Why none of the developers make such filters when they draw a game in pixel art for some reason? They make a CRT filter that has nothing to do with that the "old" look at all.

What is the name of the third shader on the cover of the video? I watched the whole video and I didn't see her

How do you store shader settings for core or content? Do you have a tutorial for that?

after a lot of tests, and this does not only concern my opinion, but also that of experienced players on CRT televisions, we are still far from a consistent and realistic result, does it come from the presets we use or filters that we associate?... we don't know, but we see too many lines and depending on the preset it lacks blur, or else it's too clear, there's not a perfect middle ground... we arrive at nothing very representative of a crt, so if someone has a setting really made with small onions I'm interested

Once you find a shader you like, how do you save it. After saving and exiting the game it goes right back
