My daughter says CRT means Chunky Retro TV.

Any CRT above a 27", is a true BALL-BUSTER!!! Think first before lifting...:-)

I laughed when he said "if you are looking for a CRT or feral animal, you'll likely find em in the same spot!" He's not wrong...

OMG!!! I just adopted one! Your timing is impeccable. My wife is still on the fence about it. Haha

It works better to bring a woman into a house with a crt than bringing a crt into a house with a wife. Similar to bringing a kitten into a house with dogs rather than a puppy into a house with grown cats. This way they are used to it from day 1 and don't have to hide in the sink for the first 2 months after bringing home your crt.

I managed to pick up a few Trinitrons for my collection, one being a 32” and I will NEVER own a CRT larger than 27” again.
So much weight, and it was actually harder to find a TV stand to support the weight, than the TV.

I rescued one from wild recently. I've been wanting one from so long and it showed up by the dumpster. I can't believe it works. What a strange thing to find in 2022.

Got my panasonic crt from work. Rarely used. Like a new. It was on electric trash pallet. I asked my boss can i take this home for free. He said yes and asked why you need that old trash? I was lucky. Next day they took that electric trash pallet to recycle center.

Definitely not something I expected to see but glad I saw it. I remember back in the '90s how heavy those TVs would get. There was a scary moment when a friend of my brother he actually had the catch one of those big ass TVs when for some reason it tilted over and fell out of its stand and he literally caught it with his phone to hands and it was so heavy and such a strain on him. I also remember sometime during the 2000s before we had fully moved to just completely flat screen TVs, it was like a transition. The time because they existed too, but anyways I remember accidentally getting either a CRT or it's stand it was on to be stuck on top of my foot which was very scary and I had to shout for help.

A few years ago I had an opportunity to bring home a MASSIVE 38" CRT TV. It took 4 of us to move it to the dumpster, and it was after that that I realized the dumpster is probably where it would have to stay. Not because it was broken, mind you, but because my pregnant wife, at that time, would have probably gone into labor helping me move it with whomever was stupid enough to help us up 2 flights of steps to our living room with it. A real pity that was😢

I have 5 at my mom's house, and I can't wait to find the perfect spot for the biggest one! My fiancee gave me the big green light to do it!! Actually she suggested it!!!

A CRT is much cleaner and cheaper than having a child.

I can luckily use our old big family tv from around 2000, where I can still hook up all my retro consoles .

It’s hilarious that I got this video because I got a big 35inch CRT yesterday. It only weighs like 200lbs, and it definitely didn’t scrape a door frame, and put a whole in the wall on its way into the basement 😂.

Yeah my wife has limited me to one 30+inch CRT, one 20-30inch CRT, and one under 20 inch CRT, it’s a compromise I’m happy with.
