4th reason, it customises your hand into a silver colour

It’s like an evil kneaded eraser. Imagine being tired and mixing the two up

This could possibly be used for hand lettering/calligraphy (by painting), giving a smooth yet erasable finish.
Tysm for the likes y'all

So basically the kneaded eraser of pencils🗿

This reminds me of what happens when I have over used my kneeded eraser, and it starts drawing splotches instead of erasing, which was frustrating.

“I know what it looks like!” I just thought it looked like a finger, honestly.

The reason it’s so soft compared to the graphite in your pencil is because they add clay to harden graphite for pencils. Another fun fact, pure graphite can be made into diamond, since they have the same/similar carbon makeup. :)

It's also water soluable. I use it for sketching out really big canvases. Like putty erasers it's very versatile and not a weird product at all!

In Japan the calligraphy ink traditionally made looks like this at first and once they cut into shape n dry it for years u get the ink slab u always see with professional calligraphists of japan

*sighs deeply with mild self annoyance while I add the shiny new art medium to Amazon cart*

Art student from Portugal here! In class, we've used this a couple of times, more while experimenting new supplies. I have to agree with some comments I found in here. It's very messy and most of my peers hated it, including me, exactly because of that mess. But something that we can't take away from Art Graf (the brand) is their capability to creat very durable products. I'm more of a graphite dust and pressed bar kinda girl, also from Art Graf, which is also messy but not as bad as that! It does the very same thing. Hope this helps those interested.

Okay, the fact that it so easily transitions into being a watercolor pigment is amazing. It's legitimately challenging to get that kind of perfect gray color in watercolor.

I'm not a fan of the idea of directly handling it, but using it with water and vrush seems like a great idea.
