I like you sitting in the chair while discussing the books you've read. Seems cozier

I read the hobbit at the age of 25, and if I have to tell you, I liked it a lot even though I was "old". Many times I think it's just a matter of timing, maybe the time has not yet come for you, maybe in a few years you'll pick it up and you'll find out you like it. This is how it is with books, they choose us. (sorry for my english, I'm italian!)

For the Grisha Trilogy, the guy she ended up with wasn't my favorite, but I appreciated that Alina never waffled between a bunch of guys. It was true to her character. She loved him in the beginning and she loved him in the end. Besides, one of the love interests was evil and the other one had more of a friend's thing going on. I don't know. I just enjoyed that she respected all of them, so I didn't mind the ending. And the main love interest gets more complex in the last book, in my opinion.:)

I enjoyed the Grisha trilogy, though I was upset about who she ended up with...I was like really?? It's a good series to read, if you're just starting fantasy, but overall average of 3 to 4 stars.

My fav read this month was The Wolves of Winter. It comes out on January 2, 2018. It was amaze-balls. Even though I received it as an arc, I am going to buy a physically copy with my own money the day it comes out—that’s how much I loved it!

I agree, I adore the Hobbit because it reminds me of my Papa's bedtime stories. He had a very slow gentle voice perfect to fall asleep to. The Hobbit, for me will always be my bedtime story! (Along with Watership Down!)

The Hobbit is actually one of my three favorite books of all time so I had to laugh when you said you didn't like it :) But you and your channel are awesome so I'll let it slide <3

I was leaving some books unfinished too. Just not enough time with the holidays.

This month I finished Glass Sword, the second book in the Red Queen series. It was pretty good

On the Grisha trilogy: I was kind of hoping she'd end up with none of them (since I always hope that in love triangles) but if she had to be with one, I'm glad it was with someone who really knew her. I actually thought in many ways it was a twist on the "everyone loves the plain girl" trope, because no one loved her until she had power that they could use. The Darkling especially was pretty transparent about using her attraction to him to manipulate her and I appreciate that Bardugo was pretty explicit about that not being love (or, you know, healthy). But if you liked the world you'll definitely enjoy Six of Crows!

Empire of Storms - 5th book in Throne of Glass series - was the best book in december.

Like the chair!
I think you’ll like Six of Crows more. It’s a lot of fun and I haven’t read any of the original series and I really liked it.

I've been skipping many videos on my feed because I'm so behind on booktube and I want to keep up. But you know you've gotta watch one if it's Emily talking about the Grisha trilogy! I've seen everyone saying THE SAME THING about the pairings in that series, and I'm missing the last book to find out what everyone means.

I would totally recommend Zero Repeat Forever! It's kind of beauty and the beast meets the 5th wave, I read it on a whim because the cover is stunning, and it totally surprised me!
