Hi Fredrick, another nice and informative video. Particularly, I like the scenic view of the beautiful woods with nearby houses to live in.

I started with JavaScript, it's my first love. But after learning c# and Rust I understand why people hate JS.

It's not that people don't know how to use it. It has weird behavior and it encourages bad coding style or techniques.
It's like a jungle, do anything you want. Jsx is one that grinds my gears, it stands for everything programming shouldn't be.

I so much agree on the point that most JavaScript haters lack deep understanding of the language. JS is much loved by those who are truly good at it, and tend to wanna use it for everything wherever generally people tend to hate what they don't understand. Lame justifications are it encourages bad practices, I mean GTFOH, JS was built to be what it is, not to conform to some so called best practice

People who don't like* CSS do the same via Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.

flutter is better for mobile application, I am not sure it's web-ready
If you cannot deal with javascript learn to deal with javascript :-)

As a mainly web developer with many years of JS development, I have to say that pure JS is pretty shit in terms of DX for large projects.
However, even though it's pretty shit imo, it's still less shit than alternative languages.
This is because it has a HUGE ecosystem, and first party support for browsers.
WASM is still nowhere near ready enough to rival JS on the web.
Using typescript solves some of the issues with JS, but not all of them.
