This is part 5 of the full love story of Olivia Spencer (Crystal Chappell) and Natalia Rivera (Jessica Leccia) on Guiding Light.

This lesbian love story evolves over the course of 2 years of soap opera tv. The writers took the time for them to slowly go from hating eachother to loving eachother. Because of the writing and amount of time they shared the screens together, the characters and the story have a lot of depth to them. What you won't see a lot of in this compilation is physical intimacy. Back in 2008/2009 gay storylines in soaps were still a new thing and the network and sponsors where afraid of backlash. What the actresses couldn't show in physical affection though, they made up for in their very realistic portrayal of emotions, great chemistry and overall great acting. Together with the writers they've created a beautiful love story nonetheless.

This is the fifth part of their story that starts with the wedding that never happened in april 2009 and ends with some heartbreaking scenes from july 2009. In this video Olivia and Natalia try to figure out their newfound feelings for eachother and how to move forward together, while one curve ball after the other is being thrown at them. Unfortunately one of these curve balls ends up being too much for Natalia and the connection they've had up until now is temporarily broken.

While I'm not a fan of the direction the writers chose for them at the end of this video, it does create some amazing opportunities for Crystal (Olivia) to show off her acting skills in the next video.

I promise you, it all ends well.

I just found and watched Parts 1-5 over the past two weeks. I didn't know Part 6 wasn't posted yet, so that was disappointing to see it wasn't up yet. But so far this has been an amazing job, seamlessly compiling all these scenes. I can't imagine what it was like watching this in real time with how slowly the story between them builds. It even feels slow watching it like this. I knew going in that there wouldn't be any kisses, except for the one quick one, but I just love watching them together. Olivia is gorgeous and the two of them have such great chemistry. I am eagerly awaiting Part 6 so I hope you will deliver soon. Thank you for your hard work.

You are a ✨saint✨ (and possibly a bit of a masochist😅) for splicing all of Otalia's scenes together. Your videos show just how much screen-time Guiding Light actually gave these two characters, and it's honestly mind-boggling considering all the censorship and limitations on them being able to show PDA. I want to thank you for your dedication and hard work. It's so very much appreciated. I knew of Otalia in passing but never really hopped aboard the ship when it was on air; but for some reason, this summer YouTube kept popping clips of them on my feed so my curiosity got piqued.

Which leads me here, to your stunning compilation videos of them. I get it now, why this ship was and still is revolutionary. I've never seen a love story develop so organically and realistically on television. It's almost humbling to see these characters go from barely being able to stand being in the same room as each other, to being unable to be apart, and to fight to keep their love, even if it meant fighting with themselves and each other. What they lacked in PDA and intimate scenes, they more than made up for it in the way they communicated with each other - verbally and non-verbally. Some of their dialogue and conversations took my breath away, they were so raw and honest and painfully poignant. So thank you for the videos; you're keeping this ship alive and allowing new fans to discover this once-in-a-lifetime love story. Thank you.

Thanks for posting all the parts thus far. Just discovering these two as way behind the eight ball. Was trying to piece together all the parts of Venus (think that was the name of the web series with these two) yet never did. So a treat to watch this footage in 2024 without interruption. Really speaks to the times how the handling of this story was portrayed. Just finishing, The Gap Series, for countless rewatches here on YouTube -it speaks to how far we have come and is excellent love story between two women filmed in Thailand I believe with global accolades. And one more thing that is very funny for me: that Jessica was veeery pregnant while this series was and how they tried to hide her big belly: they hid behind bushes, behind bouquets of flowers, behind scarves, behind huge bags, behind boxes, behind baskets of laundry and etc. And in the end, they came up with the idea that she suddenly got pregnant from one night with Hank. And this pregnancy test when she was already nine months pregnant and had gained 15-20 kilograms)))). This is very funny!) Every time I watch this series, I am always touched by these scenes with belly hiding).
