Move your right arm like this in the golf swing and you will feel like cheating. In this golf video Danny Maude has a golf lesson with the #1 coach in the world Pete Cowen. You will learn that by getting the right arm in the correct starting position with driver and irons the golf swing just feels easy.

When you get the right arm in the correct position it helps you get a perfect backswing. In fact once you have locked the right arm in place Danny shows you exactly how to move the right arm perfectly with his signature dumbbell move.

But the golf lesson wouldn't be complete without knowing how to move it in the downswing. Danny Maude has you covered. There is no room for loads of complicated swing thoughts in the golf swing so you need something super simple.

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Your willingness to show yourself in this kind of position, of receiving coaching, is one of the reasons you're such a great content creator / coach.

Very refreshing to see a YouTube instruction legend getting a lesson and not just getting it right straight away. Makes me feel better about my lessons. That's for sharing. 😊

These are the real secrets of golf, never seen a lesson like this before. Straight to the meat, no gimmicks.

What I appreciate about this most is that you showed the whole lesson. Including when you weren't getting and had to be corrected. As good as you are, it still took you time to get it right. Helps me understand as someone that's only been playing a couple years, it takes time to change habits and improve.

THANK YOU for having the humility to allow yourself as teacher be taught. I rarely compress the ball - 2 hours practicing this and I’m hitting balls like never before. There’s no quick fix in golf and I’ll feel the pain now and again on the course but I’m committed to rebuild my swing on this because it’s worked like nothing else before. Exciting! 🙏

The struggle is real. Great golfers are always students of the game. Thank you, Danny and Mr. Cowen, what a privilege to learn from these great instructors.

Danny it's very generous of you to share content like this. It puts your game in a vulnerable position but I feel like I'm learning a lot from this video.

For two months straight, I dedicated myself to watch this daily and practice, and finally, I did it! Huge thanks to Danny and Pete for this video.

After spending some time hitting balls yesterday, my interpretation of “spinning the right arm down” is the upper arm remains glued to the torso and it is the forearm that “spins” down to the ball. At the same time the right wrist remains in flexion (wrist cock). It is the correct body turn that squares up the face. Think of it as the right arm “uncocks” at the elbow applying force and pressure to the back of the ball. It is amazing how far you can hit a ball with a short backswing, cocked wrist and a little timing.

I would like to say a couple of things about this as well as give a WARNING:
First of all kudos to Danny for letting us see that he too is constantly seeking to improve his swing which shows that golf is a never ending journey.
Secondly; it was a brilliant instructional video and probably the best I have seen. No nonsense, brutally to the point and lead me to have a new understanding of how to properly compresses the ball. I was so inspired I went straight out into my garden and started doing these practice methods. At first I just hit the ball fat, and I mean really fat and for the first time I understood just how much hand manipulation I was doing. Really scary revelation. After about an hour my brain got a glimpse of what was going on and I started to get a feel for it. When my brain "got it" it made the swing seem very simple and I was getting amazing power even from just half swings. I can kind of understand now why John Rahm does a very short backswing, the compression you get is incredible.
Now here's the WARNING; Once your brain understands this and you get the feel of it; it is very very difficult to go back. After a couple of hours of getting the feel of this swing I tried my old swing again and it suddenly felt weak and had no power. If felt like I was guessing and that I had always been guessing. So if you try this method in any serious way it could be that you have to commit to it, of which I now have. I have a feeling my 11 handicap will go higher for a while but over time I believe it will fall dramatically. This knowledge is a revelation!

This video is beyond anything I’ve seen yet. I practiced these for a few days and then granted, it was on a sim. But played at my buddies house, where I normally score high 80’s to mid 90’s and hit a 77. It felt like nothing I’ve done before, I’m not quite getting the distances I’d like yet, as I’m not able to always keep that compression. But getting to the green in regulation or at least having a solid chance is something I’ve never been able to do until this. I hope it stick and I continue to improve. It’s amazing that 3 years of playing and watching videos and this felt like it just completely unlocked the swing.

Danny and Pete! I can’t thank you enough for this lesson. I took this swing straight to the course, and started to hit the straightest shots ever. I’m 70 years young 😂

It takes alot of humility for the teacher to become a student. I truly enjoyed this video. Thanks for doing what you do.

Pete knows golf swing mechanics so well, he can observe subtle differences and pick out immediately why a shot deviated, and how to correct it….so brilliant and so experienced with such a variety of swing types. Great session!
