Minutes after a routine domestic flight from Jakarta, Indonesia to Pangkal Pinang, the pilots on-board Lion Air Flight 610 struggle to keep the new Boeing 737 Max nose from pitching down. They soon alert air traffic control of an emergency after encountering difficulties in finding the source of the problem. On the ground, the controller allows the pilots to fly at any altitude they choose, but things quickly turn for the worst when the plane nosedives and begins speeding towards the sea, leaving the pilots without options. Indonesian investigators must now determine why a Boeing 737 Max 8, one of the best-selling new airplanes on the market, plunged into the Java Sea.

Find out what really happened to the now grounded Boeing 737 Max 8 on Air Crash Investigation season 20, starting 5th April at 9pm on National Geographic📺

The pilot of this aircraft, Captain Bhavya Suneja was my classmate and a dear friend. Lost him to such a tragic accident. May his soul rest in peace! 💐

My brother was involved in this accident, before I drove him to airport he told me that he wanted to pray together with me in a nearby Mosque. So i follow his instruction and i pray together with him at Airport Mosque. After that i drop him at airport terminal and he say goodbye to me. I can't believe it, that was the last time I saw him alive

I hate to be reminded with that accident. My friend was one of the victim, and he was on his 1st flight.
He told us that he afraid to flight, even he asking is possible to go inside the airplane without wearing shoes, right on the night before he go to Airport. 😭😭

On 1.600 ft, i see this plane direcly from my house 2-3 minutes after T/O from CGK/WIII, sounds so loudly, and 2 hours later this disasters was on trending topic. As an avgeek, this is the most memorable and the worst experience for me, the worst Boeing 737 accident ever by number of victims. I always cry when I remember this accident, my deep condolences to all their victims and family.

I was familiar with some people who were onboard that flight. One of my mom’s friends told us that her mother had been on the flight. My math teacher told our class that his friend was on the flight as well. That friend was the co-pilot.

RIP to all the souls lost on flight 610 🙏

i lost my beloved friend and her husband, leaving their children. It's been almost 2 years since their lost and still made me avoiding any boeing plane. 2 accidents in a row for a brand new plane is not good, even they already fixed, still a lot of doubt. Maybe the trust will back to Max after 10 years operate.

its so sad that the total compensation that these people got is still less than that of boeing ceo when he was ousted

I thought about my friend who lives in Central Java who was riding the Lion Jt 610 plane that crashed in the Java Sea waters, at that time I didn't believe it but after I checked on Facebook, it turned out that the volunteers found my friend's necklace, I was very surprised, let's pray for them so that peace #RIP

Lion air actually asked for simulation training because of the system. Its the new system that troubled the airline. But I believed the request being denied and end up their plane was the first to crash.

Kisah temen gw. Mau dinas luar ke bangka naik JT-610 sehari sebelum nya. Sdh order via Traveloka. 🙏
