If waves are disruptions traveling through a medium and light is a wave, what medium does it travel through? A luminiferous ether?

Physics on Khan Academy: Physics is the study of the basic principles that govern the physical world around us. We'll start by looking at motion itself. Then, we'll learn about forces, momentum, energy, and other concepts in lots of different physical situations. To get the most out of physics, you'll need a solid understanding of algebra and a basic understanding of trigonometry.

About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.

i am really fascinated how you can explain the whole topic in physic so vivid and bright, thanks for excellent introduction!

Luminiferous Ether, "it's a good name for a band." 🤣

If you want a chuckle, just hit that time stamp a couple times in a row. Nice break from hours of physics study....Yes, I'm 7 years old.

I've seen electronic microscopes pictures of electron flood in light waves exited by lasers moving throughout the aether, there is no such a thing as a photon. Light speed is only electric retardation, a rate of induction.

Yes there is a luminiferous ether. Faraday, Maxwell, Heaviside, Nikola Tesla, and Steinmetz all said so. They were clearly much smarter than everyone who said there was no ether.

light is a perturbance of The Field, there is no such thing as a photon

'We should be able to detect how light behaves if it's going in the direction of Ether, or against the direction of the relative movement of the Ether.'

What we call light is just energy moving through the Ether circuit; it's not a separate phenomena. Can we detect how a wave reacts when it's going in the direction of water or against water? (you're still trying to separate the wave from what's actually waving)

I love these videos. The luminiferous ether is a geometrical structure at the center of the vacuum. Which is also at the center of every proton. It is the flower of life pattern. We are so closer to understanding it's ridiculous and amazing.

Aether for human is same as fish doesn't know water exist, water is the medium

If light was a particle, no one would know the existence of transparent objects like glass because particle of light wouldn't pass through anything. Light is not a particle, its an ether wave. There is no photon particle, compression wave is misinterpreted as photon particle. Light bulbs don't emit anything, what it does is electrically cause excitation of ether field resulting in light waves we observe. PS US Air Force repeated Michelson and Morley experiment and confirmed the existence of ether, check video "The Aether Field Exists, and We have Proof".

4:09 correction “Illumination has…” not light itself, but an observable attribute of light is what’s being described.

Funny how Dayton Miller did experiments of aether drift which gave promising results but his works are rarely talked about...

If the ether is a substance, like say water, then it could also be moving around the sun with the earth.

Is this the ether that was rejected by Einstein in developing his relativity theory?

Am reading a brief history of time and trying to understand what the ether is

This sounds like what ken wheeler or theoria apopohasis talks about

Of course there is luminiferous ether. Michelson Morley experiment shows that we are stationary. Globe earth in motion is a theory, and Michelson Morley experiment proves that the earth is stationary and ether does exist, if you put the apparatus in motion you'll get light waves out of phase which shows that ether is there, and apparatus does what it was meant to do. And if it's not detecting any motion of earth, it's because there isn't any.

You don't explain things nicely but you explains things extremely
very nicely.

It is the eather. A wave is what something does. Illumination is the pertubace, light is the modality.

Luminaries ether = the waters above and thinned as oxygen
