Some say running ages you. You get runner's face. Bad for your joints. Is any of it true?

Trail running is awesome. but i think its the breathwork aspekt of running that makes you feel so good after the run.

Colors in this video are super nice. Also the effects on the running looks

Aw man just getting a sweat on is so therapeutic. Irrespective of its effects on the body, it’s the effect on the mind that matters most.

As ultimately an unhealthy mind will manifest an unhealthy body.

Keep going VP!

I started running seven years ago. Now I just don’t feel right if I don’t get a run in every other day. I run through fields to the tow path by the Thames. It’s much harder than on concrete but it’s epic for everything. You get that ‘forest bathing’ and challenges to coordination. I wear zero drop running shoes. You can get water proof socks to keep your feet dry. Soggy socks are nasty.

I run in the winter. The cold is ok unless it’s below freezing. It feels good. You get the bite of cold on your arms and then you heat up pretty quickly. Get gloves and a hat. Your hands and head still stay cold. The worst is the rain. Nobody wants to run in cold rain. Rains a lot here in the winter so we might get a treadmill.

Get a Garmin. You’ll enjoy the nerdy data and community. You could have a fitness watch channel. I would definitely subscribe.

It's never too late to start running. My grandma is 81 and she started running 3 years ago... Now we don't know where the f she went! I miss my grandma 😢

You don't necessarily have to lose your muscle due to running. In fact, as long as you keep your calories high enough, having good cardio can actually help with your calisthenics and may have a net benefit.

I did couch-to-5k two years ago, and tomorrow I'm doing an ultramarathon. It definitely helps

I've always known Forest Gump was a lie, no way a slower person can accomplish that much

Thanks Kasey for the inspiration I’m going to start sprinting short distances along with my other exercises ❤

We are biomechanically built for running. If you use cushiony shoes, that's where people mess up because it throws off their natural running stride and cause them to heel strike. Heel striking = joint damage and shuts of the glutes and hamstrings due to arthrokinetic reflex. That's why a lot of runners have huge quads but no hamstrings or butt.

Nice. Better to realise it at 40s than at 50/60s 😄

Running doesn’t damage the knees. Only folks who don’t run say that. Been running for decades. It’s addictive. The only thing that aged me is my poor genetics.

Teenage skin is usually the worst. I don't get why you want acne.

1: Running IS good.
2: Born To Run is a very good book.
3: You’re lazy self will not run in the winter.
4: You’re new to cardio in general, genius. Even the slightest bit of effort is going to kick you into zone 3 easily, until your body adapts. But well before then it’ll be winter, you’ll stop running, and have to start all over in the Spring. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree running is really good for you

Look a sprinters, they are usually muscular. I did a little research on this once and found that a lot of people who do long periods of running or other cardio end up with heart problems. But quick sprints with rest in between is supposedly OK. Pavel, the kettlebell guy, has said to never get so out of breath that you can't talk.

I run about 10 miles every time i go for a run. It seems like the right balance for me.
