My best friend in high school was guitarist Buzz Feiten. In August 1969, Feiten stood on stage at Woodstock as part of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and created a lifetime of fame and excellence. So did alto sax player Dave Sanborn, and they would team up many more times over their next 55 years of fame.

Performing live again has given Bob's aesthetic and play a great boost. The loss of his wife and COVID I could tell was affecting him greatly, not to mention the passing of one of his 4Play brothers Chuck Loeb. I have witnessed some rejuvenated play from the Professor. Oh and did I mention that the saxophonist here (Andy Chmut) was super fantastic and tasty. I am a critic and fan of Bob James for over 45yrs, he's my fave musician, composer in the world.
