From a secular perspective, there is an actual increase in happiness when someone moves from poverty into middle class. After that, no material thing will ever be enough or change one’s happiness.

Delighting in the Lord and being grateful for whatever He chooses to bless you with is the key to happiness. As Voice of Reason stated during his interview with Father Josiah (I think that was his name?) the key is to stop focusing on yourself and instead focus on God and the well being of others.

I think that inner sense that "something's not right" is because we're not yet in Eden. And neither are our loved ones - at least the ones who are yet here on earth. We're not where we very much want to be. So there is nothing on earth that will replace that ideal.

I would love to see Christopher West interview and debate Tony Robbins. I recently saw Robbins' documentary on Netflix, I am Not Your GURU. Robbins claims to help people, but this message by Christopher West, certainly has power to save.
